Stay (Sympathetic)

“No, I, I’m gonna Stay, but it ain’t to be your babysitter.” You smile showing off your teeth. Keagan gets a worried look on his face. “Oh, yeah. You don’t have to……..wait.” He holds out his hands to you. “Wait, just… wait here.” With the worried look on his face Keagan backs away from you, fondling for a door handle, then disappearing into a room.

There’s shuffling, some odd mumbling, then a bang into the wall. “-ouch-“ “quiet”. The odd words you think you can make out. Curiously you perk your ears to hear any more, but there’s nothing. Eventually Keagan comes back, closing the door behind him. “That’s uh, I left a video playing.”

“So…uh.” He starts. “I, I, uh….. Look you really don’t have to. Mommy can be very mean sometimes and you shouldn’t face that.”

You look up at the buck and say. “That’s fine, we can just talk, like I said, I ain’t your baby sitter.”

Keagan, who was still standing just outside his door, nervously glances back at it and grunts. “Okay, that’s okay.”

The young buck leads you around to the sofa and gently lets himself down. You do to, but less delicately, your weight plumps down.

“So… I’m Keagan.” He says looking away from you.

You extend your paw to him. “Nice to meet you.” You give him your name. “Y-your mom, is she, well, does she treat you like a kid? Like a ‘kid, kid’?”

Keagan looks down. “Yeah.” He nods his head. “Bedtime, playtime, kids meals. She does it all.” He makes a heavy sigh and rubs the antler nubs on his heads. “I have to file these down.”

With a pang of sympathy you make a heavy sigh. “Wow, is, is she…”

He cuts in. “Naw, she’s fine.” Keagan smiles meekly. “It ain’t bad, just a li’le, a li’le……” He doesn’t finish. He also never makes eye contact with you again. “She says I can move out when I marry, but I can barley go out now, so I dunno how I’ll marry.” Keagan adjusts the crotch of his pants.

A little dumbfound your jaw slides open. “So, she’s a helicopter mom to a grown ass adult?”

“Yeah? Yeah I guess.” Keagan finally looks up at you. “Can I ask you a question?”

You nod.

“What is sex like? Like, uh, what’s it like to you? ‘Cause, ‘cause, I know what it’s like….. To me.” Makes sense he’d be a virgin.
