State of the Shore #2 - May 2026

Hey everyone!

Been a little over a year since the last time I did one of these, so I figured I'd reach out and talk a little bit about what's happening currently in Amethyst Shore.

As always, the main thread (MT) is still chugging along, albeit slower than I'd prefer. I'm hopeful to get updates coming regularly again, but I can't make any promises, unfortunately.

However, if you're really looking for more Amethyst Shore, I did just start a brand new short story called Clear Skies Ahead, which focuses on Skylar as the main character, set 5 years after Skylar's senior year. It has no relation to the MT, and the timeline events discussed in CSA are their own continuity entirely. However, it tells a pretty fun story about Sky trying to find her place and ensure the success of her business. Only a few chapters in right now, but stick around for the next one to release soon.

I have some other short story ideas in mind as well, but those ones won't be coming out at least until CSA finishes.

If you're interested in writing your own story for Amethyst Shore, be it 1 chapter or 100, feel free to reach out, I'm always open to people adding to the story and I'm happy to work with you on your idea if you'd like. I think that's what makes CHYOA such a great place to tell these stories is that some collaboration can happen there.

In addition, I'd like to ask you guys if there's anything you'd particularly like to see, in MT or otherwise. I always like hearing feedback and ideas, and while I can't promise it'll get included, it doesn't hurt to try. Feel free to leave a comment here or send a message if you'd prefer to, I'm open to discussing things either way. Doesn't need to be elaborate plot ideas, could just be as simple as 'man, I'd really like to see more of Skylar'.
