Start with Research

Mia and you change back to street clothes and head to the Ferrari.

You slide into the driver’s seat.

“So why don’t we see what nearby university has an occult studies program?”

Mia smiles at you. “Great idea!” She begins searching on her phone. “Found one! SSU has one. I’m pulling up directions now. It’s only a two hour drive.”

You speed along and get there a few minutes before the promised two hours. Parking is easy.

Mia looks excited. “I can’t wait to get this out of me. Now we just need to find Professor Black.”

You make your way across campus to an old building. Vines cover the brownstone walls. The door is unlocked and you walk in.

Finding Professor Black’s office isn’t hard. You knock.

“Come in.”

Mia and you enter.

“If you’re more students trying to join my class, it’s full. Take it up with the registrars.”

The woman sitting at the desk has black hair, round black glasses, and wears a black sweater. She is pushing fifty and is a bit overweight.

Mia gives her a demure smile. “We’re not here for that. I have a demon problem.”

She laughs. “A year ago and I’d have kicked you out of my office. Now…So what’s your problem?”

“My boyfriend and I kind of killed a demon. Before he died though he whispered something to me. Now I think I’m turning into a demon.”

“Ok, stop. Kind of killed?”

You answer. “We blew his brains out.”

“That probably did the trick. What did he whisper?”

“I don’t know.”

“So what makes you think you’re turning into demon?”

“I seem to have the power to make people do things and I’m getting black blisters.”

“A hate demon. You killed a hate demon and he gave you his power.”

“Can you fix it?”

“I think so. But, you’ll have to trust me. I’ll need you to give me the power so I can destroy it.”
