"How do you know what that is?" you ask back.

"Hmm. You stated that I was able to pose my question, though you have responded with one of your own. Must I answer this first?" He hangs his head. "I suppose you have thoroughly defeated me. I have little choice but to do as you wish. If you will spare me a little longer, I will explain myself."

Gwyn stomps her way over. "What are you doing? Kill him already, Kyle."

"Hold on," you say. "You lured me here to do your dirty work. I'm not going to slay a guy I know nothing about just because your eldritch daddy wanted it."

"My--?"

"I see," says the Summerlord. He takes his attention off you just for a second, to look to the elf. "So Seno'nojoch wishes to take my island. If that is the terms of my defeat, I will accept it. Is that all you were tasked to do? If that is the case, I will leave now, and find a new home elsewhere. I have slept here long enough anyhow. I am sure I will find another place to make my own once more."

"Mission complete. Right?" you ask.

Gwynevere grumbles. "Technically yes. I was not told to kill him per se."

"So who even is this, Gwyn?"

She rolls her eyes and raises up her rapier. With a flash of light, it turns to a ring around her finger. "Luminos the Blinding is an ancient enemy of Seno'nojoch. One is of the sun, and the other the sea. I will not bore you with a lesson on history, but the Summerlord is similar to myself, though he has accepted the power of his patron through body and soul. I know little else of him, however. All I knew to do was to take the island, so my quest is finished. There is no more need for me to fight."

"So it's because of him this place is such a warm, tropical paradise," you say.

"Aw. Why do we have to kick him off then?" Eva asks, walking her way over. "This place is great."

The Summerlord chuckles. "When I find a new home, in time, it will also be--" But when his masked face turns to Eva, he stops in his tracks. He squeezes the shaft of his spear. Slowly, his gaze scans all those on the beach and his grip tightens so much that you wonder if he'll snap his weapon in two. "User of Bunny Hop. Would you please speak to me in private? I will answer your question as well, if you do so."

"All right. Lead the way," you reply.

Though you don't go far, the two of you make your way down the beach so that not even the elves or bunnyfolk can hear you speaking quietly. It'll all be drowned by the sounds of the sea, as well as the returning chirps of birds nearby. He's strangely not that imposing given how tall and wide of a man he is, or how shredded. The two of you stop at the edge of a grassy knoll overlooking the coast, where a single palm tree rises up high.

He sighs deeply. "First, I will keep my promise. I know of Bunny Hop because of know of Lepo. You having this ability can be no coincidence."

"I know Lepo. Feli too. I uh, really got to know them." You shrug, allowing him to take that as he wishes.

"Incredible. It has been so long since I have spoken with her. Truly you must be an amazing man to be given this ability. I did not know she could even do such a thing. In a sense, perhaps she is your patron, in a similar manner to me and Luminos the Blinding. To have been defeated by somebody such as yourself is an honour," he says, bowing his head. "But I must ask you something else."

Glad I didn't just kill him. "What's that?"

"How..." he mumbles. "H-How do you do it?"

"Do what?" you ask.

"Act so calm, around all those... beautiful women?"

You glance back to the group far down the beach, and then return your eyes to him. "Excuse me?"

"They are all so stunning, and what they wear is just too much. When I looked upon them, I froze completely, and I had to run before I did or said something embarrassing. Yet you not only walk amongst them so calmly, but they seem to follow you without fail. I wish to return, as it would be rude and strange of me to run, but I do not know how I will approach them without making a fool of myself."

"Oh. Uh, hey man. It's all right." You pat him on the back. "You just gotta be more confident. Look at you. You're the Summerlord, big and strong, conjurer of Mask-Men. Breathe in and out slowly and be calm. I'll be right there, champ."

"Mmm. You are a wise man. All right. I will try."

"Let's go back before they get impatient, especially that Gwyn. I'm surprised she didn't just try to kill you in front of me."
