Someone said the Guildhall has a basement, best to personally verify

Maia searches around the ground floor of the Guildhall. As far as she could tell, there was not basement. The building seemed to be built on solid stone.

After a few hours of dedicated searching, Maia finds a door. A door within a hidden room, blocked off completely save for a small window long since boarded up.

She pushes the door open, seeing a long staircase leading into pure darkness.

"I've done so much today already, I don't think that going down there is a good idea right now. Maybe I'll come back tomorrow, or next year. Maybe never, maybe I'll just never come back here and resuming living a life of ignorance of this staircase which, I can only guess, leads into the literal Abyss."
