Someone interrupts

Before I could say anything else, her eyes widen as if a switch flipped. Lilith turned to stare at me, she blinks and in a moment I could see nothing of my former friend, only Lilith. In the blink of an eye she was before me, her black armored claws wrapping around my throat, hosting me of the ground and pinning me to a nearby tree.

"Nao" I choked.

"Silence," Lilith snarled. "This won't hurt...much." she spoke before slamming her lips into my own. She kissed me. My mind short circuited at the scene. However this was not some short quick peck. I could feel her tongue invading my mouth as she pressed me into the tree.

"My Malevolence," a voice called interrupting us. Lilith broke the kiss, her face looked annoyed, cold and somewhat angry as she rolled her eyes and turned to face the newcomer.

It was a lupine demon, a werewolf basically. Well at least thats why I assumed. It looked nothing more than a pup honestly, maybe a were pup. Oh right...she was Lilith the demon lord er lady.

"You better have a reason worth more than your life if you dared to interrupt me when I'm...eating." Lilith growled at the werepup.

The figure shrank beneath her gaze as he carefully stepped forward. "Your Malevolence....your sister is curious about your whereabouts." He stuttered as he spoke up. "If you wish, you can return and I'll..."

Lilith didn't let him finish, she stretched out her arm towards the werepup, pulling the underling into her grasp before slamming him into the tree beside me.

"Listen to me," she spoke her voice soft, barely above a whisper. "If I need you to do something...I'll ask." She told him. "Or should I remind you of my capabilities." She informed I could feel the pressure increase around my throat a little, but the were pup was practically ****.

"Please...forgive me...I meant no disrespect." He spoke. Lilith immediately loosened her grip. The were pup dropped to the floor, kneeling before her. "Thank you my lady." He cowered.

"Stand up." She ordered as she turned her attention back to me. Her eyes were staring intently at me, burning themselves into my being. I could see her licking her lips, her fangs ever so visible. "Go back to camp and tell them you found me." She ordered. "And tell them...if anyone else interrupts me while I'm eating...then I'll devour them instead." She commanded. "Understood?"

"Yes...yes...understood." the were pup answefed before he scrambled off. Lilith's eyes glanced at where he had left, focused for a moment before he grip loosened.

I gasped for air as I fell to the ground, rubbing my neck. "Damn, you're scary," I told her as leaned back against the tree. Lilith stared down at me, her expression perplexed.

"How did you know?" She questioned.

"I read you those stories." I smiled. "Though will admit I didn't know at first but...." you gestured to where the were pup came from. "I suppose the Demon Lord being friendly with humans would cause quite the commotion."

"Still...I may have gotten a little rough back there." She apologized. "And well I..."

"You did what you had to do." I repeated. She had to kiss me apparentlt....I wasn't gonna delve any further with that right now. "I presume the alternatives were either killing me or killing him and neither are favorable for you." I noted.

"I wouldn't have mind killing him," she admitted. There was no hesistation in her voice nor emotion. It was merely a fact she was stating. "It would have been easy for me too." She added.

"I figured as much." I sighed. "I guess whatever happened....it must have been...really bad."

"You make it sound so simple." Lilith chuckled. "But you're not wrong...it was really bad." She admitted. She walked over to my sword and picked it up, glancing it over. "Humans fight off the demons and the demons need to feed on humans to survive." She spoke. "Including me,"

"I..."

"Don't apologize, it is what it is." Lilith mused. "I've gotten use to it. The way this world works and the way I am now." She smiled somberly. "You don't need to comfort me like before. I'm stronger here. I can handle it."

"You know its funny...I've always been hopeful. I figured well I reincarnated maybe someone else did." She chuckled. "It never dawned on me how I would feel when you finally saw what I became."

"Nao," I whispered. "I understand." I told her.

"Maybe...but that doesn't change what I am and what you are." She spoke. "You must have heard the stories. I saw it in your eyes, you recognized me....recognized Lilith." She corrected. "You saw what I am. I won't pretend otherwise."

"You're my friend." I told her.

"No, I'm not. I'm not Nao," Lilith snapped. "I am the demon lord, Lilith. I hunt and eat your kind." She turned to face me.

Lilith pinned me once more to the tree. Her eyes a flame once more as she stared at me. Her face was inches from mine. "Do you have any idea how delicious you smell right now?" She whispered. "I can feel it in my very being a desire to eat you right now. To drain you into nothing more than a shriveled up husk." She whispered.

"What humanity I was once had...its gone, and only the demon remains." She told me.

"Then do it." I dared. Her eyes widened at my statement. "Come on Lilith, show some follow through." I told her. "I'm right here, just but me already."

"I..." Lilith recoiled.

"Even with a different name and face, its still you underneath," I told her. "Always trying to put on a brace face for people so no one will worry or stress about you." I spoke as I folded my arms. "I won't deny your stronger...but that doesn't mean you expect me to just not care about you."

"You are my best friend. I grieved for so many years thinking you were dead. That the one person who understood me was gone and now that you're back, you think I'd let my self be scared off because things a different." I told her. "You want to protect me, I get that but...at least let me be there for you as well."

Lilith was silent for a moment before a warm express blessed her face.

"You haven't changed." She smiled somberly. "Even after all these years,"

"I have just not in my feelings for you," I smiled back.

"Being the Demon Lord's friend...its not gonna be easy for a human. The Demons will not like you, and the humans might brand you a traitor, they might kill you." She explained.

"We have both died already." I told her. "Maybe we will reincarnate together in another world." I chuckled.

"I'd rather we stay here." She mused. "Regardless...I can leave you with something to help. Its not much but..."

"I'll appreciate whatever you give me." I assured her.

Lilith smiled before leaning forward. She pulled my collar to the side before kissing my neck just as passionately as before. She broke the kiss pulling back, wiping her mouth.

"There," she fixed my collar.

"A hickey?" I questioned. "What's special about this?"

"It's a way for me to mark my....let's call it property. Most demons will know that you're mine, and thus...they wont break you. It will also let me, track you and keep in contact should things get complicated." She told me. "It will fade after a while but..you will still be mine." She spoke.

"I can live with that." I smiled.
