Chapter 129 by sexyslave sexyslave

What is this about?

Some praise, and another matter.

"So, uh, sir, if I may ask, what exactly is this about?" Izuku asked Nezu, who took a moment to sip his tea.

"All in good time, we're just waiting on class 1-B's representatives," Nezu replied as he set the cup back on the saucer.

"Ah, so this isn't us in trouble then," Momo smiled.

"Oh, trust me, if we were talking right now because you were in hot water," Nezu replied with a chuckle, a mad gleam in his deceptively adorable eyes. "You'd know."

Izuku shivered as Kendo and Tokage arrived. "You wanted to see us, sir?" Kendo asked.

"Yes, both of you, please have a seat," Nezu answered. Once they complied, he continued, "I am in fact calling you four here to praise you on taking steps to bridge the gaps between your two classes."

"Oh, erm, thanks!" Tokage replied. Whatever they had been expecting, it wasn't that. "Midoriya and Yaoyorozu deserve the credit though. It was their idea."

"That's true, but there's also virtue in being willing to take an extended olive branch," Nezu stated. "Pride is an emotion all too often prioritized over common good among humans. And Vlad King has been rather... Spirited in terms of trying to have his class compete with Eraserhead's over the last few years. Eraserhead has been quite frustrated with that, as it has led to some incidents between the classes for him to deal with."

"They cut into his sleep time, don't they?" Izuku quipped.

"Wahahaha! Oh yes, Aizawa does love his beauty rest!" Nezu laughed. "You hit the nail on the head!" He then grew a bit more serious. "In all honesty, friendly rivalries are all well and good. Healthy competition is a strong motivational tool. Not to mention, the Hero industry is full of it, so experiencing a rivalry or two during your years here are good to prepare you for that."

"But the issue is when such rivalries devolve into outright feuds," Kendo summed up.

"Correct! So I trust you'll keep working to try and prevent as many such issues as possible!" Nezu replied cheerfully.

"I'm guessing there's another reason you called us in, not just to congratulate us?" Izuku asked.

"Ah, yes, you're a sharp one!" the principal nodded approvingly. "I had a thought regarding your classes and further aiding in school unity, and wanted to ask you both to get support for it. It will help... Motivate the teachers to agree to it," Nezu replied.

What did Nezu have in mind?
