Chapter 69 by Yellowjack42 Yellowjack42

Which to choose?

Some cool down before more fun

Given how ill Mai looked at the moment I felt that anything that went up rapidly then fell down just as quickly probably wasn't the best idea. Given the limited options I gently guided Mai towards the Ferris Wheel, something that was nice and calm that would give her a few moments to recuperate before we made our next move. After standing in line for a short while and allowing Mai's stomach to settle a bit, not without a few glares in my direction with every uncomfortable gurgle of her stomach, we stepped into the seat and started our journey to the top.

The ride itself was rather slow, most Ferris Wheels do that, so it was only about a quarter into the ride when Mai's face turned back to it's normal color and her golden eyes stared out in amazement at the park, her eyebrows raised as she nearly plastered herself to the seats protective glass in interest. Giving the park a once over myself I forgot how expansive it was, from a built in water park to a series of arcades it appeared that this place had everything. There were also a number of roller coasters around, all of them ranging from semi-tame wooden ones to the fast and furious painted steel ones complete with multiple loops. Oh the joy that could be had...

Suddenly I felt a hand on my thigh, Mai leaning closer to me on our seat with a happy sigh, her head falling into my shoulder as she spoke, "This is pretty relaxing..." I chuckled softly, gently wrapping an arm around her as I replied, "Very true, I'm sorry about that by the way. I didn't mean to make you almost...you know." Mai shrugged but said nothing more, simply staring out at the park grounds with interest.

"John," Mai called after a few moments, pointing out towards the rows of games and arcades strewn in a spiraled line in the center of the park, "What are those?" "Those are games," I said, trying to focus on the far away object as I spoke, "if you win enough of them or just have good hand-eye coordination you can win prizes." Mai nodded softly and she went back to simply curling into me, a happy sound coming from her that I couldn't place as a sigh or a grunt.

"John..." Mai said with a softer tone than before, looking up at me with an unreadable expression. "What is it Ma-" I began but was cut off with a soft kiss, Mai's pillowy lips pressing against mine with quiet passion...right up until the Ferris Wheel stopped...

Is it a malfunction or just people getting off? What then man, what then?!
