Some adult dvds

"Oh shit" Karen knows exactly what she found. She lowers her head and starts to laugh herself. Whatever this is, it's clearly amusing both of these women. "Well you found my movie plans for tonight."

But you still don't know what they know. What movie or movies could possibly be this funny.

And finally Katie holds up 2 DVDs for you to see. One called "The Seduction of Misty Mundae" the other "Pirates."

And you do your best not to join in the laughter, but you do chuckle a bit. Not to mention you now know that Karen, your sexy older neighbor is a fan of porn. Not that that's a big deal. Maybe 10 years ago you would have found it scandalous that a woman you know watches porn. But those days are over.

"Big fan?" Katie asks jokingly.

"You know" Karen answers honestly. "I was never into porn before I got married. But Warren loved the stuff and I thought, why not be a spouse who is game for anything. And he really got me liking the stuff." Maybe it surprises you that a woman of Karen's status and intellect is such a big fan. But then again, why can't everyone enjoy it? "Anyway," she goes on. "Skip to ten years later, I got rid of the husband, kept all the porn." She laughs again, and uncorks a bottle of wine.

Karen places the three wine glasses on a table and fills them. Katie tosses the DVDs down onto the nearest shelf.

And then there's an awkward silence. A very awkward silence. Karen distributes the wine and all three of you sip. You sense that everyone wants to say the same thing. Maybe because it's been a long night. Maybe because you're all a little tipsy. Maybe because you're curious about these movies now. But you feel like you know what everyone is thinking. But you don't want to be the one to say it.

Karen breaks the silence. "Want to watch one?"

And the silence returns, since neither you nor Katie know if she's joking. You try to think of a strategic answer. "Well..."

"Yes!" Katie answers, way more enthusiastically than she should.

"Pick one" Karen says nonchalantly, taking another sip of her wine.
