Soccer

"Is there a soccer team?" you ask.

Lukas nods. "Yeah, there is. I sometimes go watch the girls practice. Lots of sweaty girls running around in shorts, good shit. But it’s pretty much all girls. I don’t know if they made it unisex or not."

"I’ll check it out. If it is, I might join."

"Have fun, man," Lukas says with a grin. "Try not to get mobbed."

You split off and head toward the soccer fields behind the main building. The afternoon sun is bright as you approach. A group of girls in school athletic shorts and jerseys are running drills, shouting and laughing. A tan, dark short haired athletic woman in a tracksuit is blowing a whistle and calling out instructions clearly the coach.

You walk up to her and catch her attention.

"Hey ma’am, can guys join the soccer team?"

The coach turns around, surprised. She looks you up and down for a second.

"...Well it is unisex," she says, wiping sweat from her brow. "But we don’t have any boys here. About fifteen out of all twenty of the boys joined the football team instead. We haven’t even had a guy show up for try-outs yet."

She pauses, clearly shocked to see a boy. "Wait a minute, you wanna join? What year are you? Freshman?" She asks rapidly, sounding genuinely excited.

Before you can answer, several of the girls slow down and start drifting over, curious about the sudden appearance of a guy. A few of them whisper and giggle among themselves. You spot Jackie among them, the nervous redhead you fucked, non-vagunally, in the boys’ bathroom the other day. She recognizes you instantly, her cheeks flushing bright red as she looks away.

The coach doesn’t seem to notice the girls gathering. She steps closer, clearly thrilled.

"You have no idea how good this is for the team! We’ve been dying for more players. Especially guys since we play in the unisex leauge, also it could really help with funding and school support too. We practice three times a week, games on weekends, and we travel for some away matches. Plus, you get to stay in shape and… well," she glances at the growing group of girls, "you’ll definitely have plenty of motivation around here."

You nod. “Yeah, I wanna join.”

The coach’s face lights up with a big grin. “Fantastic! I’m Coach Ramirez. We’ll get you fitted for a jersey right away. You ever play before? What position do you like, forward, midfield, defense?”

As she continues asking questions and listing off more benefits, extra free periods for practice, team bonding events, access to the club lounge, etc, the girls form a loose semicircle around you. Most of them are in tight athletic shorts and jerseys that cling to their sweaty bodies. A couple are openly checking you out, whispering to each other with mischievous smiles.

Jackie stays a little behind the others, still blushing hard, but she keeps stealing glances at you. One of the bolder girls, a tall brunette with a ponytail, speaks up.

“So we finally got a guy on the team? This just got way more interesting…”

Another girl nudges her friend and giggles. “Think he can keep up with us?”

Coach Ramirez claps her hands. “Alright, ladies, give him some space! Jack, that’s your name, right? go ahead and warm up with the girls for today. We’ll run some drills and see what you’ve got.”

The girls don’t exactly back off. A few of them smile at you invitingly as they head back toward the field, clearly excited by the new development. Jackie hesitates for a second, then gives you a shy little wave before jogging after the others, her face still red.
