Small Talk With Casey

You walk upstairs into the lightless hallway. It's dark but also bright enough to see due to the soft lights coming from downstairs. You stand at the middle of the hallway and Casey is a foot away from you. She is as timid looking as always and her frame that's just a little bigger than Amelia's make her look even more so. Despite her personality contrasting Amelia's they could be twins if one of them dyed their hair.

Casey then looks around awkwardly before sliding her glasses off and starts to wipe them with her sleeve. An idle gesture it seems as she tries to find something to do. You look over noticing this and decide to spark up a small conversation just to get rid of the silence.

"Did you finish your schoolwork?"

Casey almost flinches and then replies. "H-uh?- O-Oh yeah....yeah I did. I was helping Amelia do some research on her paper."

"Oh, that's nice. Thanks for doing that."

"I-It's no problem....haha....no problem....H-How about you?" Casey stutters nervously.

"My paper? Well I finished it already in class."

"R-Really!? Wow. That's....that's very impressive."

"Not really. I just threw together some stuff with Keiko's help."

"Oh....I see." She smiles, a little pinkish hue comes onto her face and she looks away. "S-So uhh....Amelia...."

You stare at her waiting for her to finish.

"....do you know if Amelia is seeing anyone right now?" Casey mutters to the side as she looks away.

"Seeing anyone? Like....dating?" You ask tilting your head.

"Y-Yes dating....that's what I meant, sorry.

"Uhhh, nooo....?" Dejavu hits you. "Not that I know of. Why do you ask?"

Casey starts to play with her glasses.

"I uhh....no reason. Was just....curious."

Your eyes widen. Does Casey have a crush on Amelia? This is a revelation. They've been best friends for such a long time. You had no suspicion of Casey swinging this way.

"Oh-....I see....uhhh...." Fuck. How do you respond to this? "I think I understand....and I wish you the best of luck."

You say and lift a fist towards her. She looks at it and nods before fist bumping you back.

"T-Thanks...." She says with a gentle smile as her face lights up.

Casey seems really nervous about revealing this to you, albeit in a roundabout way, but it looks like she had to ask to make sure eventually. You're glad she came to you though. Guess she trusts you to a point. You also want to cheer her on, but at the same time your relationship with Amelia makes you the biggest obstacle between them.

"Alrighty!~ Come on down you two!~" Ameko says shouting out to you and Casey.

A few seconds later you sit at the living room couch with Casey. The five others stand in front of you.

"Okay, time to guess! Raise your hand and say what is different on one of us!" Ameko says posing once more with her arms up.

You give each of the girls a thorough look, of course skipping over Kara avoiding her gaze. Suddenly Casey raises her hand.

"Amelia has a small clip in her hair." She says pointing to Amelia.

"Correct!" Amelia says smiling at Casey. "Good job." Casey smiles back with a small blush.

"There is~ oooone~ moooore~." Your mother says and you look over to her. She sticks her butt out a little towards your way....is she trying to give you a hint?

Your eyes look her up and down....god she is beautiful....oh wait-....you put up your hand.

"Her apron is tied differently."

"Correct!~ Wooow~ Jun is sooo~ good!" Your mother says as she quickly comes over and gives you a big hug.

"Yep! Looks like one point to team girls~ and one to team boys~." Ameko says as she puts her hands onto her hip.

"This is getting a little fun." Kara says as she chuckles and looks at your mother. Sounds like she's enjoying your mother's teasing behavior as well.

"Alright, who's next???" Amelia says taking off her hair clip.
