Slow start

My eyes were very heavy. I didn't want to wake up, but I knew I had to. I slowly opened them.

"Hiya Master" I wish I had something cleaver to say, but instead:

"AAAAHHHHHHH". This ended with me falling off the bed and my magical roommate laughing over me.

"Ohhh, I'm going to have fun with this" she said as she pulled me up. Thankfully, she was back to the tank top and jeans instead of no pants.

"Come on Master, I made breakfast" she said as she grabbed my hand and dragged me into the kitchen. In my house, the kitchen and dining room is just one big room. On the table was a warm plate of eggs.

"Jasmine, you didn't have to cook me breakfast" I said as I sat down.

"I figured you could use a bit of help given that you live alone. Besides, I was hungry" she said as she put her dirty plate in the sink. I couldn't help but smile.

"Thanks. I really appreciate it" I said. I saw her smile, and maybe even blush a little.

"You're welcome. So, we need to talk details" she said as she sat across from me. I just nodded, too busy eating to say anything. These eggs were really good.

"So, like I said before, you can't wish for girls to fall in love with you. You have to do it yourself. Sense you're such a big Fire Emblem fan, don't ask how I know that, I figured I'd make it like a game" she said before snapping her fingers and a phone appeared in her hand.

"Only the two of us can see this, and it only does one thing, keeps track of your harem. Every time you meet a new girl who is eligible for the harem, they will be listed here. Each girl has at least three tasks you must compete before they'll fall in love with you. Depending on the girl, they might have more. Once you complete all tasks, you recruit them. Girls can also "support" each other. You can't control this, but you can keep track. To make things more interesting, each girl will gain a special ability once she joins the harem. The ability will relate to her personality. Did you get any of that" she explained. I slowly nodded. It was a lot, but I think I understood.

"Oh, and your time limit is also being kept track of. Right now, you have 273 days with me" she said.

"Ok, I think I got it. I still don't like this, but I also don't want to drop dead" I said as I took the phone.

"Ok then. You finish getting ready and let's get going" she said with a big smile. Well, time to get the day going.
