Sleeping

Will was only a little surprised to find Gwen and Frankie still asleep. He ordered Melody to go make everyone breakfast while he sat down and waited for them to wake.

It didn't take long for the smell of bacon frying to waft into the room and both women to stir. Frankie got up first. She winked at him then went off to her own room.

Gwen sat up slowly, and she looked at him without the love Melody and Frankie had. She stood and let his eyes drift across her naked body. She came over and sat in his lap and smiled at him.

"I think we need to talk," she said, "Last night was...well and example of bad wishes. We can't let that happen again. I think we should make a wish so only you and I can make wishes or something like that."

Will shook his head, "No."

"No?" Gwen asked, clearly confused.

"No. Just no. I think last night was fun. The scary part was when you had a chance to make a wish without a promise first. So it's time for your promise. I'll give you a choice. Promise to obey me forever or promise to forget about the wishing ring and never utter a wish again."

Gwen didn't know how to react at first, "You're kidding...wait, you're not. What the hell? Why would I make either of those promises?"

Will looked at her seriously, "Don't forget who controls the ring. I don't need you to make wishes."

Gwen opened her mouth, and then closed it, "How about...I promise not to make any wishes without your explicit permission."

Will shook his head, "I don't need that promise. I want your obedience. If you don't want to be part of this, that's fine. You have my word that if you choose to forget, I'll leave you alone."

Gwen looked defeated. She knew she didn't have any leverage here. She'd hoped all along that her looks would get her to a place where Will would make a mistake she could exploit. She could have wished for him to always obey her for instance.

Now facing the prospect of losing all access to magic or losing her free will, it was clearly a tough decision for her.

"If I promise...to obey you, what are you going to do with me? Will you still help me with my dreams?" She asked.

Will kept a straight face, "I will do whatever I want with you."

She gulped and looked away. A sane woman would have just left. Given the promise to forget and move on with her life. But Gwen, she just couldn't go back to a mundane existence.

She looked up and him, and then slid off his lap and down to her knees. She bowed her head, "I promise to completely obey you forever."

Will nodded, "Good. Let's test it. Do not speak until I say you can. Do not get off your knees until I say you can."

Will then stood up and walked into the kitchen. He didn't need to hear Gwen to know that she was shocked. But her promise worked and she silently crawled along behind him.
