Sleeping Arrangements

Jeeves was back in character after her romantic and passionate night with Jazmin, and also back on the top of the stairs ringing her bell. Melanie had come to realise that rarely meant good news - not that she blamed the butler, who was only doing her job after all. She and Lucy had decided not to share what they had learned about their old adversary The Director with the others until they had spoken to Chantelle, so for the moment she had to act like everything was normal. Or as normal as the mansion ever got, anyway.

"Can I have your attention please. I have been informed that, from tonight and for the rest of the season, there will only be five bedrooms in use, so glitches will now room in the five groups they assigned themselves into and named in the UK Mansion. Showers are banned until further notice, and glitches must all bathe together each morning and evening in the spacious baths that are being installed in the five en suite bathrooms as we speak. Also, there must be a minimum of two glitches per bed and the pairs must be switched on a daily basis"

Melanie's heart sank as she realised James would be sharing a bed with Lucy and Leilani as often as he would with her, and that the four of them would be bathing together on a twice daily basis. Jeeves then confirmed the groups in case anyone had forgotten.

"These will also be the teams for the mansion challenges which will start soon. In order to ensure even numbers for the challenges, Jazmin will join Team Hero, I will join Team Cute and Amanda, when she arrives, will join Team Gorgeous. Jazmin and I will continue to room together, however. All challenges will result in rewards and punishments, so you should give them your best shot. I should also set out that your popularity ratings will be more important than ever this season so you should do everything you can to raise them. Myself, Jazmin and Amanda will be added to the rankings soon. But if you look to your left, the current positions are displayed on the wall"

The big screen that now showed the rankings 24/7 would serve as a brutal and constant reminder of just where everyone stood with the viewers, and was yet another innovation Melanie thoroughly disapproved of. Nonetheless, the rankings were there in big flashing lights and could not be avoided.

"Your ranking will determine many aspects of your stay in the Naked Mansion, both individually and for your group. As things currently stand, Team Hero have the highest average rating and Team Badass the lowest. This will have an impact on all members of both groups."

"Fuck's sake, I'm in fourth! That's so unfair!" Tania complained.

"Everyone try and ignore the rankings, we always work together, not in competition with each other" Cassie urged the rest of the glitches.

"I'm starting to feel the same way as you do about this season" Lucy told Mel.

"Yeah, it just keeps getting worse. We need to speak to Chantelle asap" Melanie agreed.
