You decide that it's in your best interests to get a little bit of sleep while you still can. Being across the Atlantic with some of your friends tends to cause you to not get a lot of sleep.

Before you sleep, though, you grab your trusty pencil and write a few precautionary measures into your newfound notebook.

Old Rule: Alex Thompson is the sole owner of this rulebook. No one is aware of its existence or effects, and no one else can write in this notebook.

Old Rule: If Alex Thompson ever loses this notebook, he can summon it into his backpack by saying the phrase "I need my notebook".

That seemed good enough for you for the moment. Knowing the notebook was safe, you laid your head down on the pillow in your dorm room, but then you got an idea.

Old Rule: Alex Thompson only needs 15 minutes of sleep per day. 15 minutes of sleep for Alex offers the exact same benefits as an 8 hour sleep. Alex can still sleep for however long he wishes, though, and receives the benefits of sleeping, as long as it is over 15 minutes.

You threw that last sentence in there because although sleeping can sometimes be a chore, it can also be enjoyable to take a long nap every once in a while.
