"Wake up" (again)

I slip out of dreaming and solid sleep for what seems like a few hours, and then finally into reality.

My forehead is saturated with damp water. Looking up and seeing a stalagmite directly above me, dripping water onto my brow. Presumably, I have only been asleep for a small amount of time, specification beyond that impossible.

Standing up on my own accord, for the first time since I died, I wander around my surroundings to gain a sense of bearing. From what I gather, I am inside a cave (no shit). Honestly, besides that, nothing much else is notable, beside a small pool of water hugging the edge of the cave wall. Walking over to observe it, I see my own reflection.

While I have always been a handsome guy, age was getting to me, partially due to the fact that I was sitting in an office chair for about 10 hours a day. It seems like Gerthum did me a favour and put me back to my body's peak. Giving my body a closer look, it seems that Gerthum has also decided to give me some serious tone. Heh... its like I was sculpted by a god. Or in this case a goddess. Anyways!

To one side of me, a faint light can be seen, and directly ahead of me, the cave descends deeper. Curiously, while the light levels are low, I am still able to see enough to move throughout the cave interior with minimal issues.

When Gerthum indicated that I would be dropped into a whole new world, I was under the presumption that it would be in a town or something, not a random cave. Considering her track record, this has a possibility of being a mistake on her part.

No use worrying about this now. The only fruitful endeavor here is picking a path and traversing it.
