Sinister pirates

Whatever had the man in it's grasp was very quick, for he had completely vanished from Vanessa's sight. All she could hear now was his screams and the laughter of the pirate with him. Vanessa rushed through twists and turns, to no avail. As the screams and laughs grew faint, she feared missed an oppurtunity to escape. She thought she could use the man to her advantage, maybe he knew a way out..

That's when she heard something, the ground shook for a moment as if something underground had awoken. Vanessa stopped in her tracks, she could hear the man again. The former CEO dropped to her knees and crawled to the left padded wall of the corridor she was in. Vanessa was able to peak through one of the gaps.

She could just about see the man. He stood on a plastic plank directly above a huge ball pit below full of blue plastic balls, to look like the ocean. Vanessa couldn't see any pirates around the man, but one definitely was speaking. “Ye stand upon our ship with nothin’! Yer deemed useless ‘n worthless! Any last words ‘fore ye meet yer fate?” The pirate asked the man.

Holding back tears, the man spoke. "Please.. have mercy..."

The pirate burst out laughing. “Har har harrr! Time ye be meetin’… the KRAKEN!”

Suddenly, the plank the man stood on tilted, just enough so he slipped and fell into the ball pit. Vanessa watched in horror as the rumbling grew louder and louder. The man emerged from within the ball pit, his hair slimy, the balls appeared to be coated in a strange substance. His screams of terror became unimaginable, it even sent shivers through Vanessa's body.

Without warning, Vanessa gasped as she watched the man get lifted into the air by kraken tentacles. They were robotic arms made to look like the tentacles of a kraken. Vanessa immediately shut her eyes and looked away as she saw one of the tentacles insert itself into his mouth, and he was dragged into the darkness. A loud roar of the kraken drowned his screams and sorrows...

Vanessa, stunned, faced the other way with her back against the padded wall and panted nervously as the pirate laughter echoed. This was not good. She was not gonna be able to easily pass this sentence, the consequences were huge and terrifying. For the first time in her life, she felt genuine fear...
