(Matt’s POV)

[I’m done, here is the file]

Great, exactly the message I wasn’t waiting for, I’m still not mentally prepared to stream as a girly vtuber, but I know it might be my best option to make some money, especially since I had to cut deep in my economies to pay for this avatar.

Plus, I can’t deny that I’m curious to see how it looks like. My design was pretty rudimentary after all, a simple housewife with big boobs. But the artist sounded very excited and said he might add or change a few things.

I can’t open the file in an image viewer, so I guess I need to follow the instructions he gave me earlier, about downloading the software that will read this file.

Once I open it, I have to set up my webcam to understand where my face is, and when I’m finally done, I can load in the file.

So this is the character I’m going to act like on stream?

Seeing the final result is very different than when assembling it in a character sheet, and it looks way more professional than I thought it would.

The character opens her mouth in shock and I need a second to understand it was simply copying my movements. What the hell? This is pretty much better than what I asked in every way.

The character is pretty much perfect looking no matter the angle, and it shows many different expressions as I try them out.

Obviously the character design was slightly adapted, with big sparkling eyes and long braided pink hair that rests on her huge breast. She wears a big white apron over a sky blue dress. To add some character, her apron has a few pins on it with messages like “Best Wife” or “Cooking with Love”.

She also has some accessories in her hair in the same sky blue color as her dress.

While he kept the design simple, the artist added some needed flair to my avatar, and I can already picture her slightly teasing viewers while keeping her gentle personality.

I go back on discord, and thank him for his work before transferring the other half of the payment. With this I’m really close to reaching the end of my economies so I really hope I’ll become popular soon or this will be wasted money.

I guess I wouldn’t mind the free promotion, but it also means I have to steel my heart and accept a starting date.

I could simply start tomorrow, but it feels like the kind of event you announce a few days in advance to let the time for people to gather.

Since we’re already Saturday, I guess I should aim for sometime next week.

I guess this is final then. I post the announcement, to little effect, but I still have a small following so it was to be expected. Hopefully, more people will see it soon.

I also need to go and buy some decorations for the apartment as today’s quest, I guess the app wants me to spend money now… But hopefully I’ll gather some more perks soon.

(John’s POV)

“You’re late!” Cotton says, her arms crossed.

“I’m sorry, there was a lot of traffic to come here.” I explain.

“Whatever, don’t make me wait next time.”

Right, I don’t think there will be a next time but I nod anyways.

I then remember something that troubled me earlier.

“Wait, how did you get my phone number? Did I give it to you?”

“I got it from my dad. Why do you care? You should be happy I texted you.” She says while looking away.

“Fine, and why did you invite me here?” I ask, while already knowing the answer.

“I wanted to go shopping, and I need someone to carry my bags. Maybe we’ll also pick up some clothes for you if you behave.” She says.

Does she think I’m her servant? Whatever, soon enough I’ll be her boss. I don’t mind carrying bags in the meantime.

Okay, maybe I wasn’t expecting her to have that many thing to buy.

“What is it?” She asks as she hands me a third bag to hold to.

“I guess I wasn’t expecting you to buy so much.”

“What are you talking about? I’m even holding back today.” She says, and I can see some confusion on her face.

“Nevermind. So you always go shopping at the mall?” I ask.

“No, I only come here once or twice a week, but last time was more stressful than usual.” She says, and I remember I gave her a quest where she needed to obey someone for an hour, so it might have been my fault.

“We’ll go there next.” She says as she enters another clothing store.

I check the price tags as we go by and it’s much more than what I would be able to afford with my salary.

“Come closer.” She asks me as she grabs a leather jacket.

As I get near, she brings the jacket in front of me, and tells me to hold it.

She then takes a step back, and shakes her head.

“It’s doesn’t suit you, I guess leather isn’t your style?” She says as she grabs the jacket and put it back, before looking at some more clothes.

“Okay, so what is my style then?”

“I don’t know yet, but I think you should try a neat look, maybe a suit? I guess an office worker’s white shirt and black pants could work.” She says while looking at her options.

I’ll admit fashion kind of goes over my head, but if someone can find something that suits me it’s definitely Cotton.

I let her go through the different clothes, and she forces me to try some of them.

I put on the business suit she handed me, and she start examining me again.

I can barely hear her saying something about looking professional before she turns away and looks for some other clothes.

Once she’s satisfied, I finally get back to the clothes I had when I came in.

“Okay, you should take the suit, those two pants and the white and blue shirts.” She tells me while I check the ridiculous price tags.

“I don’t think I can afford the suit, I’ll just buy the shirts and pants.” I tell her but she disagrees.

“No! You definitely need the suit!” She says before thinking some more. I notice her cheeks are slightly red, but don’t say anything.

“Fine, but then I can’t afford anything else.” I explain.

“Okay, I’ll buy the suit for you then. It’s pretty cheap anyway.” She trails off as she grabs the clothes and head to the front desk.

How much money does she get for all of this to seem cheap to her?

I follow her to the front desk, and she buys the suit with her own money. I end up holding a new full bag with my own clothes.

“Thank you for your help and for buying it for me.” I tell Cotton, and she makes a weird noise, that resembles a moan.

She crosses her legs together, and start breathing more heavily.

“Are you okay? Do you want to sit down?” I ask her as she shakes her head.

“There’s no need Bo-John…” She says as she looks at me, and I notice her face is red and sweaty.

“Did you come in a car?” I ask and she shakes her head.

“Then, I’m bringing you home.” I say assertively, not leaving her the choice to refuse.

“Fine, but I’m alright.” She says while standing up and taking a few steps away from me.

I bring her home, to a big building made mostly of glass, and she leaves with her bags in hands.

She doesn’t say anything as she leaves, surely embarrassed from earlier.

I then drive home. I guess I have some new clothes now, and Cotton also accomplished her quest.

I check the app in my car after parking.

Anyway, since I’m going home, I need to talk to Matt about living with Sandra, I don’t think he’ll be against it, but it’s always a little hard to ask about those kinds of things.
