Shit, it's Jamal!

A familiar voice called through the door, it was her son Jamal "hey mom, I know you told me to lay low with dad but I just needed to get some things."

Nyomi cursed as she fired off a few hand gestures. Suddenly Ed felt himself being pulled to his feet. He looked up to see Diamond holding his discarded clothes. She'd been so quiet "just give me a second, I can't find the key" she called back through the door.

"Stop foolin' mom, the keys in the lock, just let me in" Jamal ordered his mom.

"Just one second" she replied as she watched the two disappear down the hallway before covering herself as best she could with the see through blue lingerie and then opened the front door to let her son into her home.

Diamond quickly led Ed down the hall before opening a door and pulling him inside and shutting the door behind them. She flicked a switch by the door allowing Ed to get a look at his surroundings. He'd never been in here before but the closet full of women's clothes made clear this was Nyomi's room. Now that he'd stopped running, Ed felt the full wave of panic rush over him and he made his way to Nyomi's bed to take a seat and collect himself. All the while Diamond stood pressed against the bedroom door listening for something.

"Okay nobody's coming" Diamond said turning to face the bed "It should only take a couple minutes to...." she trailed off once she got a good look at Ed "You okay there hon?"

Ed took a deep breath before answering "Yeah i'm...i'm fine it's just..... Jamal kinda freaks me out."

Diamond placed Ed's clothes on the vanity before taking a seat on the bed beside Ed and pulled him close so that his head was resting on her shoulder. "I understand. Nyomi told me about his outburst at your welcome back party." she said rubbing Ed's back "Between us? If it were me i'd have sent his ass to jail so fast his head his head would still be spinning."

Ed let out a small chuckle at the image. "I was considering doing that." he admitted "But well....Nyomi made a VERY convincing argument against it."

Now it was Diamond's turn to chuckle "Oh I bet she did." She said with a knowing grin "My girl knows how to get what she wants, especially from men."

Ed was about to reply when the sounds of shouting could faintly be heard coming through the door. Jamal was clearly upset about something. "Think everything's alright?"

Diamond was quiet for a bit, listening to the sounds coming through the door, before she gave her answer.
