She was out training after class

Ruby felt the rush of adrenaline as she went through her training routine, in other words, hunting every Grimm in sight. If Beacon kept a tally on how many of the monsters each student killed, Ruby would likely rank above all the rest. She never knew why, but when she was out on a hunt like this, she always became dead set on leaving no survivors among the creatures of darkness.

Panting as the last Ursa faded away, Ruby wiped the sweat from her brow, satisfied with her efforts. "Haaaaah, a job well done as usual," she said to herself as she began walking back to Beacon, knowing better than to use up her aura on getting back faster with her semblance.

While many would prefer to train within the safety of the arena, Ruby always felt she learned best out in the field, not having to worry about holding back for fear of harming someone or causing serious damage to equipment. As she was walking back, she looked around, enjoying the various sounds of nature she had grown up with throughout her life, and enjoying the fresh air of the forest.

It was thanks to this, and her trained eyes as a sniper, that she noticed a small artifact blending in with the rocks and tress thanks to the moss that grew on it in clumps. Confused, she walked over to get a better look. It appeared to be a metal sculpture of some sort, depicting a person in a cloak or robe, if people were only 1 foot tall, and was in surprisingly good condition aside from the moss.

"Huh." Exclaimed Ruby. "I don't recall ever seeing something like this in history class." A grin began to form on her face as she realized she might have found some piece of forgotten history. While Ruby did have a mild interest in history, it only really extended to ancient weapons, "the classics," one might say. However, if she were to bring this to Dr. Oobleck, then maybe he would give her some extra credit in his class, or so she hoped. Though what if she somehow damaged the artifact? Thinking it over, she decided too...
