She wants to be his friend

After the long walk, Alex has grown more interested in Mary. They could've been friends earlier if they had talked more. Better late then never he thinks. And this power can help things move along faster. "Mary wants to be Alex's friend." Alex looks at Mary while thinking. "Maybe I'll see you at lunch?" Alex proposes.

"Oh, um, I wouldn't want to bother you and your friends." Mary deflects.

"Oh it's no bother, if you want to sit with us, I'll save you a seat." Alex smiles and walks away.

Mary is left standing in front of the school alone, finally having had a real talk with the guy she's liked for so long. And what's more, it seems like he wants to be friends. Mary smiles for a second before the bell rings and she hurries into the school.

Half the day goes by, and Alex is sitting at the lunch table with Becca and Carl. "So why where were you this morning?" Carl questions Alex.

"I was walking with a friend I ran into." Alex shrugs.

Just then, Mary shyly walks up to the table with her lunch tray in hand. "H-hey Alex." She makes her presents known.

Alex looks over to Mary. "Hey Mary, sit down" Alex pats the seat next to him. She slowly sits down. "You guys remember Mary right? Kyle's little sister."

"Of course, little Mary." Carl puts his hand out, indicating her short stature. "How's little lady" Carl jokingly greets Mary.

"H-hi Carl." Mary still doesn't look up.

Becca just stares at Mary. Part of her is jealous. She knows Alex's obsession with big boobs. And looking at Mary's much larger chest makes her angry. But she also doesn't want to jump to conclusions. She shakes her head and tries to no think such green thoughts. "Hey Mary. Long time no see." Becca greets her. "We haven't hung out since middle school."

Mary some how looks down even more. "Y-you were always with your cooler friends, I didn't want to intrude." Mary starts to **** up.

Becca starts to really feel bad. They were pretty close in middle school, but grew apart as Becca made other friends. She feels like she's ignored Mary and for years never tried to talk to her old friend. "I'm sorry Mary." Now Becca is looking down.

"How about Mary hangs with us? We're heading to the mall today." Alex tries to change the subject.

Mary looks up to Alex. He can see her eyes are slightly watery. But she's also smiling. "I-I'm not doing anything else, so I can go." Mary answers.

Becca brightens up, a chance to make things right. "Awesome, now I'll have some womanly insight on clothes." Becca looks over to Mary, who is now looking up at Becca.

"Fuck yeah, two babes with us at the mall." Carl's shouts his typical brash comments.

The rest of lunch is spent with Carl and Alex talking about video games, and Mary and Becca kinda catch up. Then the day is over and the four friends meet up outside of school and walk to the local mall.
