What happened next?

She left her sheets behind

Suddenly Diana felt a cool breeze blowing upon body parts that she had expected to have been covered.

She looked down and saw that the sheets were no longer wrapped around her. Instead, they were lying on the floor behind her, one end of them still stuck in the door of the hotel room she had just left.

As she reached down to get them, she heard the sound of the elevator arriving.

"Oh, no!" she thought.

She looked around to see the elevator door right ahead of her. Could she wrap the sheets back around her before the doors opened or was she better off heading for the stairs? There was a door right down the hall that did not seem to lead to a hotel room. Surely that was the entrance to the hotel stairs.

Then the elevator doors opened and she heard a gasp.

She turned around in time to see something she did not expect to see.
