Emily’s mother sighs. “Look Emily. Today has been hectic, and I know it’s been embarrassing for you, but it’s also been by far the most business we’ve ever seen here. We’ve probably had more business than the big chain washes today! I won’t pretend like I don’t know it’s because of you. The moment you walked out there naked, dozens of cars starting coming in. Heck, I’ve seen cars come multiple times, just to have you wash them again!”

Emily blushes. She did notice that. That’s creepy pick up guy from earlier came three times, making sure to harass her every time…

Emily’s mother continues. “If we can manage to keep up this much business, we can afford so many things. We can send you and Ashley to college. We could pay off our house much sooner.”

Emily has a really bad feeling she knows where this is going…

Her mother puts her hands on her shoulders. “Em, I’m gonna need you to keep working naked. Full-time.”

Emily’s eyes go wide. “You can’t be serious! You really expect me to agree to this?”

Her mom shakes her head. “Yes. If you truly care about this family, then you will. If you want to go to college, then yes.”

Emily can’t believe this. She’s basically being blackmailed by her own mother! “Is there no other way? Can’t you hire someone new? What about Mindy? Can’t she do it? I don’t want to!”

Emily’s mother looks disappointed. “It’s not that simple. You have experience with this, and are already the person people recognize.”

“I…you’re not giving me much of a choice…”

“You’ll do great, Emily.” Her mother says.

This is truly crazy. What does Emily do? Is she really going to start working full-time as a naked car wash girl? Is that even legal? What will she do?
