She gets something, though it’s not much.

Emily’s mother has always been insanely frugal. The fact that they are going on this cruise at all surprised everyone. Their rooms being full balcony rooms was more a matter of luck than anything else. All the other rooms had been booked so they managed to get kicked up a few notches.

So when Emily’s mother agrees to get Emily something to wear, she’s surprised. “Thank you mom! I know airport stuff can be expensive, but thank you!”

Her mother shakes her head, and points to Ashley. “Go grab something from one of those stores for Emily to wear. But nothing more than 20 dollars, ok?”

Ashley nods. “Sure thing mom.” She gives Emily a smile before running off to the store.

Emily is getting worried. Ashley loves to prank and embarrass Emily, and 20 dollars won’t buy you much more than a cheap t-shirt in an airport…

For a painful few minutes, they wait, until Ashley walks back, holding a plastic bag. She smiles deviously at Emily, before handing her the bag. Emily grabs it desperately, wanting to wear anything… She looks inside the bag…
