She doesn't want to hurt him

Sammi gave Alex a small smile as he finally pulled away, her cheeks aflame with a mighty blush, both from finally kissing Alex, as well from the knowledge that she'd essentially just snowballed her boyfriend without intending to. Swallowing hard, she said, "I missed you, too." Letting out a soft breath, she looked down at their table with her half-eaten meal. "Do you think we can just get going, I'm not hungry anymore."

Alex just smiled reassuringly at her before he signaled for the waiter to come over and get them a couple boxes for their meal, as well as the check. When all was said and done, he gave the man a big tip, more than the standard 20%. "Thanks for your service tonight. Keep the change, you've earned it." He clearly had no idea that the man had just taken advantage of Sammi while she was in the bathroom.

Sammi only grew more embarrassed by everything, as she knew if Alex was aware what had happened, she'd have gone straight to the manager about it, and not gave the man a big tip -- essentially encouraging him to repeat that behavior in the future. But she kept quiet, it was too late now to do anything about it.
