She attacks Sauron

The Invisible Woman knew that she had no chance running from Sauron, despite her occlusive powers. But her exposure to gamma radiation so many years ago had afforded her more abilities than her enemy knew, and it was these secondary skills that would save her life.

Concentrating on his elongated skull, Sue unleashed a bolt of her invisi-field at the totally unguarded Sauron. The super villain screamed painfully at the unseen missiles careening into his wide forehead.

"What? What is this?!?" Sauron bellowed, quickly covering his body with his wings. "Stop! Stop!"

Susan seized the opportunity and fled the scene, the shell-shocked Sauron left far behind and still reeling from the concussive effects of her psionic projections. But this did not stop him from giving chase.

"I will have you, Invisible Woman!" screeched Sauron from the low sky, "Rest assured I will find you!" He flapped his wings frantically and searched the ground below, confident that his mark couldn't have gotten far, and he was right; Susan hadn't run far at all. And all the better for it, she thought to herself, releasing her **** field and watching the winged beast soaring away and out of sight. Sauron was as powerful as a dinosaur, and as stupid as one. But she had no doubt that she would be seeing the hunter again soon.

Sue carefully considered her options for getting back to the team. If the other Fantastics were looking for her-- and hopefully they were-- then it would be smart to make herself easily found, which meant no invisi-field. It didn't take a genius to see what was wrong with that plan; surely even Sauron was counting on it.
