What's next?
She Thinks It’s Hilarious
Morgan was rolling around in the chair, letting out gasping, spluttering laughter, and wiping a tear from her eye.
Liz smiled, she suddenly felt at ease that Morgan hadn't tried to throw her out of the dorm, or kill her, or worse. She seemed to have a sense of humour just as silly as her's.
"Oh my God, that stinks! That absolutely reeks!" Morgan continued laughing loudly, holding a paw over her nose and coughing a bit.
"Yeah, they never exactly smell like roses." Liz grinned.
"Wow! I mean... Jeez, I don't think I've ever heard anyone fart like that before!" Morgan's laughter died down a little as she got up and went over to shove open the window and introduce a little airflow. Not that she really expected it to do very much.
"Well, you're gonna have to get used to it. That's sorta.. My thing." Liz sat down onto the sofa and laughed. Now she knew her gas wouldn't be badly-received, she was able to be her usual, gassy self, and it felt great.
"What? Farting like a friggin' stallion!?"
"Kinda, well, it's a long story... Really." Liz flapped her hand dismissively.
"C'mon. Tell me." Morgan sat down on her bed.
"It's really not that interesting!" Liz laughed again.
"Hey, you don't get to just crack one off in my face like that and not at least owe me an explanation!" Morgan leaned forward on the side of the bed, genuinely interested. Liz had relayed her entire backstory so many times that to her it was pretty uninteresting. She neglected to think about how bizarre and fascinating it might be to someone like Morgan, though. This girl looked so sweet Liz figured she'd wince at the very mention of the word "fart".
Appearances could be decieving...
"Well, OK... Most skunks are born with scent glands in their butts, right?" Liz pointed down to her furry posterior to exemplify.
"Uh huh.."
"I wasn't really born with any, they didn't develop properly, but I'm still a skunk..."
"So, like, instead of having a skunk spray, your body just creates mad amounts of gas?"
"Prettyyyy muchhh" Liz laid back into the sofa more.
"It's not really much of a long story, I guess, but that's one of the most important things you're gonna need to know about me. I'm practically a fart machine." Liz punctuated this point with a small, but very loud bomb, which got another laugh out of Morgan.
"Wow. Sheesh, that sounds like a bitch to live with."
"Eh. I'm used to it by now, really, it's mostly just about how other people adjust to it." Liz gave Morgan a look.
"Well, you're lucky you've got me as a roommate, I guess. I have the humor of a little kid, I swear; I find farts hilarious!"
"You don't know how glad I am to hear that! Seriously, it's like a god send that I found somebody like you! If you hated then the rest of the semester would be pretty rough for you." Liz smirked.
"If I hated it I'd be moving to another dorm before the end of the day, but I was honestly crossing my fingers that I'd get an interesting roomie, and... well!"
"Don't get much more interesting than this!" Liz tilted to one side and buffeted the bed again.
Morgan nodded in agreement. "I mean, having a roommate with a talent like that! I think we're gonna need to keep that window open from now until the end of the semester, but it's worth it for such great entertainment right here in my dorm!"
Liz waved her hand dismissively and grinned modestly. "I'm not sure I'd call it a talent, but thanks." Another bassy timpani roll tumbled out against Liz's bed, drawling on for all of ten seconds before fading away.
"Jesus." Morgan started up laughing again, scooting close to the window just in case the smell got to her nostrils.
"It's just sorta my style by now. I always figured I could either own it or be miserable. Back home my farts were pretty infamous. I mean, how many girls do you know who fart like I do?" Liz chuckled.
"Girl, I think you fart more than most guys I know, let alone girls!"
Liz shrugged again. "What can I say? I'm a natural gas factory."
She stood up, cocking her leg and letting out another fart, just as powerful and steady as the ones before it, and just as long.
"How many farts do you have in there? How haven't you run out yet?"
"Oh, that's nothing. That's barely scratching the surface."
"You're kidding me! Nobody has gas like that! No way!"
Instead of a verbal response, Liz shrugged and turned away from Morgan again, hitching her tail, sticking out her butt, and smoothly letting a cacophonous roar of stink rip through her tortured jeans for about twelve unwavering seconds. There was a brief pause, then she leaned into the pose a little further and poured more gas out for a further twelve seconds. And this was still her holding back, relatively speaking.
"Oh my God! Gross!" Morgan fell over onto her back, back into a fit of laughter, sides firmly clutches and tears forming at the corners of her eyes.
Liz laughed along with her, a couple of loose farts popping out, timed perfectly with her cackles.
"You're a machine!"
Liz bowed, squeezing off a long, windy fart that matched the rhythm of the gesture by bowing down and then up again in pitch. "I try. I try."
"I'm gonna need to stick my head out the window.. It's starting to smell like a friggin' abattoir in here!" Morgan huffed the cool, fresh morning air, while her skunky roommate sat back onto the sofa again.
"And, hey, guess what.."
Morgan turned around. "What?"
"I still have more gas after that. You ain't seen nothing yet!"
"After All of those? Are you for real!?" The fox just started laughing again at the mere prospect.
"You are nasty, girl."
"Well, nasty and proud."
"Oh god... I think my chest needs a rest from laughing."
Liz grinned. "It's ok, I'll hold 'em in for a bit. I already let more than enough out to feel comfortable." She patted her little belly to emphasize this point.
"I still can't believe you. It's like... if skunk farts could be used as fuel then you could single-handedly put an end to the fossil fuel usage... Worldwide!"
Liz found the idea hilarious. "And another world over, probably." She was starting to get a little showboaty, but it was just her way. This was her in her element.
"I have so many questions."
"Fire away. I've already done plenty of that myself so it's only fair I give you the floor!"
"I mean... How long could you even fart for? You were just letting out MASSIVE ones like it wasn't even any effort at all, and seeing as you have so much.."
"You know..." Liz considered it, "I've never actually sat down with a stopwatch and found out for sure." Liz started chuckling. "But it's safe to say I've crossed the minute mark many times. Possibly the two minute mark... it gets kinda hard to keep track at that point."
"So... you can just keep farting and farting forever!?" Everytime Morgan thought she'd gotten used to the whole idea of this, another joyful snigger jumped out of her.
"Not exactly. As much as I'd like to think of my fumes as endless." Liz did a sort of so-so gesture with her hand, "The really lengthy ones take some real focus, it's not just about having all that gas inside me, it's about the control of keeping it flowing continuously. That's a lot harder than it seems."
"It already seems impossible!"
"There's usually always at least something in the tank, but even I have my off days. It may come to me naturally, but what I eat does have an impact too."
"Oh, God." Morgan guffawed. "I can't imagine being trapped in a room with you after Mexican food..."
"I'm sure you'll get that opportunity before too long." Liz flashed a cheeky grin.
"You'd probably make me pass out if you did that.. Jeez.. Who knew I'd have such an interesting roommate."
Interesting. That got a smile out of Liz. Granted, Morgan probably meant it in more of a lab rat sort of way than anything else, but her gassiness being met with praise and entertainment rather than scorn and contempt was good enough for her.
"Anyway. Now the introductions are out of the way... you wanna go do something?" Morgan asked Liz after a moment of silence. "I'm not from here myself so you're my first real friend. If you're the first person I met, what does that say about Anthro City, hah!"
"Anything beats sitting around in here all day." Liz looked around at the four walls. "Something tells me you'd start to go a little crazy being cooped up with me and my rumbling rump for more than an hour or two."
"Watcha feeling? We could take a look around campus, or I got my car if you wanna hit the heart of Anthro City? My classes don't start until Monday so we have all the time in the world!"

Liz the Gassy Skunk Revamped
Revamped
[CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION] Will post about this when it’s ready Slightly confusing backstory to this thing but it’s essentially a reboot of a reboot… The original “Liz the Gassy Skunk” sub-story was posted to Writing.com in 2011 or thereabouts, written by fun3/redstripe/pixelpunk. I added a couple chapters to this original version and really adored the chemistry between the main characters Liz and Morgan, so after the story was removed and lost a few years later I decided to revive it myself. I managed to get quite a few chapters deep and even had a lot of contributions from the OG author. With Writing.com becoming increasingly user-hostile my additions kinda petered out and now it’s tricky to even read the story let alone add new stuff to it. I don’t want to ramble on for too long here but I’d been meaning to port the story over to this site for a while now and decided to finally bite the bullet. As I’m not really satisfied with my writing for the revival now and this site has way more features, I’m going through and giving all my parts a rewrite, adding way more branches and using the features on chyoa for more interactive elements. All the chapters that were written by other authors have been kept as they were and credited to the authors, but if you’re one of them and would like to update yours with a rewrite or something just let me know. I’d really love to get as many contributors on board here as possible, so if you come to the end of a branch or think of a fun way to continue another, please add a chapter! One of the great things about the Liz and Morgan stories is they’re very lighthearted and down to earth so even if you’re not a seasoned writer you shouldn’t have any problems adding to this! Also, IMPORTANT: please read this story with game mode enabled (the ‘start game’ button in the tab on the right), I’ve added attributes like money that’ll open up certain chapters to you depending on what you do. Hope you enjoy the return of these characters and hope to see some chapters from you guys! Check out the guidelines before adding one please!
