She Does, For The Best Interest Of Everyone

Chloe rubbed her face slowly until she felt Zack's comforting hand on her shoulder, "Hey, you don't have to do this if you don't want to," He assured her,

"Yeah, Chloe seriously, if you don't want to then that's okay," Gavin agreed while Victoria gave a quick nod as well,

"No, we need to get out of here, and I don't want just to go home," Chloe firmly said, standing tall, "I can do this for us," The three watched as Chloe walked towards the sliding glass door alone, slowing down with each step until she was still once more, she stared into the house, her heart beating wildly as she knew she had to go through the cabin. "O-on one condition," Chloe quickly said looking back at them,

Zack had a concerned expression on his face while Victoria and Gavin looked at her curiously, "What is it?" Gavin merely asked, not noticing Chloe's fear in the slightest,

"Um...V-Vicky needs to go with me, I don't want to approach her alone, and if you and Gavin are coming one of you should be there," Chloe replied, creating the idea on the spot,

"That makes sense," Victoria agreed to Chloe's relief, "It's a deal, let's go, I saw Lisa and Madison heading down to the lake, we can catch them real quick," She explained while walking over, placing her hand on Chloe's arm leading her along. "We'll be back with either good news or...well some disappointing news," Victoria called back to Zack and Gavin as the two girls walked into the cabin.

As soon as they entered Chloe let out a little soft sigh and Victoria immediately stopped in place, "You couldn't even walk through here alone, could you?" She softly asked while her hand moved to Chloe's back, rubbing up and down trying to comfort her,

Chloe shut her eyes, embarrassed with herself, "Please...don't say anything to Zack," Chloe quietly begged, "I don't want him to know,"

"Why, sweetie?" Victoria asked with a little shake of her head, "Shouldn't he know what's going on with you?"

"I..." Chloe said with a long sigh, "Zack almost broke up with me today," She mumbled out causing Victoria to go wide-eyed, "He blames himself for everything, and I mean everything Vicky," Chloe explained as Victoria brought her to the den, sitting down on the couch,

"So he wants to break up with still?" Victoria asked in some confusion as Zack seemed to genuinely care about Chloe when they were out on the deck,

"He doesn't want to Vicky, he thinks he should," Chloe tried to explain, "Zack thinks if he and I aren't together then that'll protect me,"

"Protect you?" Victoria asked now more confused than ever,

Chloe shook her head, "I know, it doesn't make any sense," Chloe agreed with her confusion, "He thinks that if we weren't together, then Ashley wouldn't have done what she did. Meaning Zack basically thinks he's toxic for me. I talked him out of it but if he hears I can't even walk through the cabin alone..." Chloe said wiping her eyes quickly, "Vicky, please, I just need to get out of this place and I'll be better, until then please don't say anything to him, please." She begged,

Victoria grimaced slightly, internally arguing what was best for Chloe, though doing something that could potentially sabotage her relationship didn't sound good. Victoria finally let out a small nod, "Okay Chloe, I won't say anything but..."

"But?" Chloe asked looking visibly concerned,

Victoria let out a small sigh, "Zack know's you sweetie, he's your basically your other half, he'll know when somethings bothering you." Chloe hung her head and soaked in Victoria's words, "But, if you say you need out of this cabin, then let's get you out." Victoria followed up with while standing up, holding her hand out for Chloe to grab,

Chloe looked back up at her and gave a weak smile as she got back to her feet, following her out of the front door, and down to the lake. The pair quickly spotted Madison and Lisa at the docks, sitting with their feet in the water. The walked over, and Chloe called out just as they reached the boathouse, "Lisa, could we talk to you for a second?!"

Lisa peered over and gave them a wave while quickly jumping up, she jogged over to the two girls, "What's going on Chloe, and...um...Vi...sorry, I forgot,"

"It's okay, it's Victoria," She replied, not offended seeing as they had only met maybe once before today,

"Thanks," Lisa said with a slightly embarrassed laugh, "Um, so yeah, what's up?"

Chloe ran through some phrases in her head quickly before deciding to just lay it out, "Lisa, I have-we have a huge favor to ask you," Lisa nodded slowly while raising her brow curiously, "With everything that's been going on this week, well Zack and I can't stay here," Chloe explained,

"And Gavin agrees with me that things are tense, making us uncomfortable as well," Victoria tacked on,

"You guys, I don't think I can just fix all that with a snap of my fingers," Lisa joked while looking between the two girls,

"Actually, you can," Victoria softly replied causing Lisa to become fully confused,

"Lisa, we have two choices here, either us four pack up and just go home, ending our trip early or...we stay at your cabin." Chloe finally said causing Lisa's eyes to widen slightly,

"My cabin? Like, my dad's?" Lisa asked back, trying to understand them exactly,

"Yes, Lisa I know this is a huge favor, and it's a bit weird, but we really don't want to end the trip early. We just can't stay here with Kurt and Ashley, at least not now," Chloe explained, a bit of pleading in her voice,

"I, yeah, I can understand that," Lisa murmured back, remembering the hostilities that she already saw the second the group was together,

"Exactly," Victoria said with a long exhale, "We just don't want to be trapped in the drama, plus with Ashley and Kurt's...history, I think we'd all feel safer being away from them at night,"

"Um...I mean, I guess I could ask my dad or whatever?" Lisa replied while rubbing the back of her neck slowly, "I wouldn't hear back from him until tomorrow though, so tonight we'd all still have to crash here."

Chloe felt her heart drop, but Victoria quickly took over the conversation, "Okay, that sounds perfect, hopefully, we'll luck out, and thank you for asking."

"Asking what?" Madison asked as she walked over to the group,

"Zack, Chloe, Gavin, and Victoria want to crash at my dad's cabin, this place is a little too...compact right now," Lisa explained, "So I'm gonna call my dad, leave him a message, okay?"

"Yeah, thank you," Victoria said with a nod while pulling Chloe back towards the house,

"Thanks, Lisa," Chloe murmured back as she walked away,

As Lisa and Madison watched the two girls leave, Madison crossed her arms, "You're not gonna call your dad, you know he already gave you the go-ahead to use the cabin while he was out of state,"

"I know, I know," Lisa shot back, "I just need time to think about it,"

"Why honestly this place is crowded, it'd make sense," Madison pointed out,

Lisa's lips pursed slightly, "Why? Because Maddie I don't know if I can take hearing Chloe and Zack going at it at night!" She exclaimed in some minor anger, "I get this shit sucks for them but...I don't know if I can have them do that, in the same cabin where Zack and I used to stay..."

"Aw shit, you're still not over him, Lisa?" Madison tentatively asked while putting an arm around her shoulder,

"Not really," Lisa admitted, "I'm trying to move on, and now that he's with Chloe, I definitely wouldn't try anything but...still, that's...that's too much,"

"I get it, Lisa, really I do, but did you see Chloe?" Madison asked causing Lisa to let out a small nod, "I mean we both have heard some fucked up shit today, and that girl is freaking out. I think she could really use a helping hand for once." Madison said before sighing deeply, "In the end it's your call, but just think about it, okay?" Lisa nodded again while Madison gave her a small pat on the back before walking back towards the cabin.
