What happens next
She’s not convinced
After thinking for a second, Izzy lets out a nervous little laugh, hugging her knees tighter.
"Freelance camera man? Like... actually professional? You're not messing with me?”
Marcus leans against the doorframe, arms crossed, his expression relaxed and easy. It’s asif a switch flipped that killed the shy man standing by the doorframe and filled him with confidence.
"Yeah, I do real work. Music videos, couple shoots, some product stuff. Lighting, angles, the whole deal. You want Joe to see you looking like a goddess? I can make that happen."
She bites her lip, looking down at her phone, then back at him. "But... you'd be taking photos of me in this dress. Like, of me. Isn't that weird? You're Joe's roommate. I'm your friend's girlfriend. That's... that's not crossing a line?"
Marcus shrugs. "It's a photo shoot, Izzy. It's not that deep. I point the camera, you pose, Joe gets his heart melted. If you're comfortable and he's okay with it, it's just art. Business."
She shifts on the bed, bare feet sliding over the sheets. "And you promise you won't make it weird? You won't tell Joe something stupid, or—"
"I promise." He holds up a hand. "I'll help you get a shot that makes him actually drop his phone. Scout's honor."
