She's his sister!

"I'm your sister!" Zoe cries

"What?" Jake is stunned

"I'm your fucking sister, okay?"

"But...but." Jake is stammering as he gestures at Zoe, "You...you are...are not..."

"White?"

"Yeah! I mean no! I don't understand?"

"Our mom was married to my dad and had me before she left with me and met your dad."

"So, you are my step sister?"

"Half-sister!" Zoe cries, clearly distressed, "Step means having different parents but being brought together by marriage. Half means sharing one of the parents! There's a difference!"

"And you didn't think to tell me all about this before, we know..."

"Fuck?"

"Yeah!"

"Couldn't. People are still looking for me."

"Who? Your dad?"

"My dad died when I was very young. Just people and the only way to keep our family safe is if they can't find me. So our mom gave me to Sister Mary to watch and take care of me. Besides what I am going to say. Hi, I'm Zoe. Your older half sister do you want to hang out?"

"And you didn't leave? As what you told me is that you are older then Casey."

"By two years. Besides where was I going to go? The church has been my whole life."

Zoe continues to cry as Jake just stands there, getting angrier and angrier as more he stood there

"Okay."

Jake starts to leave.

"Where...where are you going?"

"I'm leaving."

"Where too?"

"Home! I'm done with this shit!"

Jake then slams the door, leaving Zoe all alone
