Taking the spoon, Ethan decides to have some. Taking a scoop, pops it in his mouth, immediately feeling like he made the right choice.

“Good, right?” Ashley has another spoonful. “I have it every time I’m here, which is… almost daily.”

Ethan swallows then chuckles. “You bring all the boys here.”

Swallowing her own mouthful, Ashley sighs. “Technically, yes I guess.”

Ethan raises his brow. “Technically?”

“You’re the first boy I’ve brought here. Although when it comes to ladies, my track record is a bit iffy.”

“Oh…” Ethan fiddles with his spoon. “I thought you wer-”

“I’ve dated mostly girls.” Ashley frowns.

“You say that like it’s a bad thing.” Ethan goes for another scoop.

“It’s… not.” She lets out a soft sigh, cupping her chin in her hand. “I’m not sure how it is for most people, but my preferences are more like 70/30 in favor of men. Women are great and all, but…” she shrugs. “I’m not kidding myself.”

“So, why don’t you date more guys then?”

“Isn't that what I’m doing right now?” Ashley smiles, sipping her coffee.

“That,” Ethan points at her with his spoon. “Is an evasive answer.”

“Hm.” Ashley’s smile widens, clearly hearing something she liked. “Glad to know there's a functional brain behind that pretty face.”

“There is, and…” Ethan sips his own coffee. “Flattery won’t get you out of answering either.”

Ashley offers a head nod in surrender. “Worth a shot. Well, truth is, most of the boys my age in town get a little hung up on dating girls like me.”

“Uh-huh…” Ethan can see that. Hell, a week ago, he’d be one of them.

Sighing, Ashley keeps her thought going. “They get a little sensitive dating girls with bigger packages than them.”

Ethan sees the bait.
