Selena

Author's note: this chapter will be told from Selena's point of view.

Greetings, my name is Selena Ortega. I was born in the year 1703, I am 322 years old. As you have probably already guessed I am immortal. I am a vampire who was given the dark gift when I was 23 years old. I was born and raised in the city of Barcelona Spain. I currently reside in a lovely townhome on the island of Manhattan with my eunuch familiar Juan and a fledgling vampire I recently bestowed the dark gift upon Kristina Valentine. She was a senior at John Jay High School in Wappingers Falls New York. A small town upstate.

She's the stereotypical hot blonde girl, the one all the boys want to fuck and all the girls want to be. I met her at a nightclub in Poughkeepsie. Long story short I seduced her, bedded her, fed from her and lastly turned her. Usually we vampires will get to know someone first before turning a mortal but here's the thing, we're dying off. That's right we're becoming extinct. We need to make fledglings and we need to do it now before our situation becomes dire.

After chatting with Kristy at the nightclub I made the decision that she would be perfect. She's beautiful, strong willed, intelligent and tough. In fact in the month she has been with me she has proven to be a fast learner. She's quickly becoming an expert shape shifter capable of taking on various animal forms as well as the form of mist, essential for stealth.

Her hunting skills are also remarkable for one so young. I only had to hunt with her a few times before sending her out on her own. She's cautious and discreet and doesn't take foolish risks.

Lastly her mental manipulation skills are very sharp as well. She can meet someone one minute and make them forget her the next. She can bend the will of strong minded individuals with growing ease, becoming stronger and stronger.

And I must admit I enjoy having her around and watching her grow into a powerful vampire. I take pride in seeing how accomplished she has become in such a short time. This must be what being a parent is like and watching as your child reaches milestones and excels.

Now to the present. We have just finished her initial visit with the Office of New Identities. Their function is to get a vampire a new identity if necessary and with kristy it's necessary. She needs a new birth certificate, social security number, high school diploma, driver's license and last but not least name.

She is no longer Kristina Valentine. She is now Nicole Cohen.

We are currently on our way to the cafeteria in the Vampiric Counsel's office building where we are going to try a peculiar method of feeding the receptionist at the identities office talked us into. She likes to bite her male prey in the penis to get the blood we vampires crave. I admit I've always been a traditionalist, always biting the neck of my prey.
