Seek Recruitment

You decide to seek recruitment.

"I would like to seek recruitment." You said.

"Understood. Do you intend to meet the recruiters tonight?."

You nodded, deciding you didn't want to walk back here tomorrow.

"Then take this." She handed you a small white orb. "That contains the information we recorded. Please follow the hall to your left."

You nodded your thanks and headed off to the left.

At the end of the hall was another domed room, smaller than the first, but still large enough to hold hundreds.

The room was filled with desks where men and women of all races discussed contracts. Each table contained a small floating screen that recruiters kept glancing at. It seemed to hold information about all the adventurers seeking recruitment.

At the back of the room was a raised stage with 7 more desks. Only one of them had a recruiter seated, while the other six were empty. The single recruiter was an unhappy looking man with cat ears, apparently he failed to find what he wanted tonight.

While you stood at the entrance a man walked over and spoke to you.

"Unfortunately, 6 out of 7 of the great noble houses have retired for the night. If you are still interested in applying for a group, you may walk to any table not on the stage and show them your orb. If you would like to receive offers from everyone and have a chance of drawing the attention of the stage, just hand me your orb and I'll add it to the recruitment screens." The man said.

You stood and looked over the room for a moment, searching for a table you were interested in.

Each table was marked with a crest or logo and a name. Quite a few tables seemed to be different branches of the military, you spotted knights, infantry, scouts, mage corps and a few others. There were also schools and research groups that were looking for people interested in studying magic or to become test subjects. All the other tables were filled with recruiters sent from minor nobles and other rich figures living in the city, hoping to find potential guards or unique abilities they could profit on.
