What's next?
Secrets: Page 5
We left the theater, laughing, joking, and generally not giving a shit. I used Greater Teleportation, and this time I didn't no-clip through reality, which was nice.
We appeared on the front porch just as the sun was starting to set. We crept inside, carefully closing the door behind us. It was almost 9 o'clock, so all the lights were off.
We tiptoed through the living room until we heard a click behind us. The room was filled with light, revealing Forester sitting in a leather armchair, petting a cat. What a supervillain.
"Enjoy your little field trip?
We froze, caught with our hands in the cookie jar. I attempted to coolly diffuse the situation.
"Oh hey, Master Forester, what's up?
"What's up? You all decided to take a little trip. Well, here's a tip, learn a scrying ward."
We all became suddenly very interested in the carpet.
He sighed and stood up. The cat on his lap faded. Of course, it was an illusion.
"You all must be very tired. Go on, run up to bed. And sleep well, you've got a long day tomorrow."
With a sinister smile, he teleported away. I turned around to face the others. Everyone but Lexi was looking at me with pure annoyance. We all trudged up the stairs to our rooms. Lexi kissed me before we went to our rooms, which was nice but did little to temper my dread. The worst part is that what came tomorrow was my fault. I had talked them into it, and now we would all be punished.
Answer this.
