Secretary

You come to your new desk - look at your phone – half an hour before the boss should arrive, settle yourself into your chair, turn on your computer, familiarize yourself with it all and open the calender to see of your temp predecessors have entered any appointments for him for today. One of them he has marked for you yesterday after you left – a job interview. For your new position.

“Call the applicant before 9 and tell her the job is taken. ;) “

10 minutes to 8, you start the coffee machine. You’re not quite sure if he has been joking yesterday about this… “like my women – sweet and with cream in it” - you blush and decide to ask him before you put something into it.

When you bend down to look for a mug in the cabinet the machine stands on, you feel an hand on your ass.

“What an excellent way to welcome your boss on your first day, Lexi.”

You giggle and blush.

“Thank you, Sir. Coffee is ready - were you serious about how you take it, yesterday?”

He feigns ignorance.

“What did I say?”

You blush even more.

“Uhm… sweet and with cream in it?”

He grins.

“Oh. No, that’s how I like my women only. Just a joke. Black. Like my soul, for real.”

You nod. Another joke to make you blush , but if he doesn't mean this one either, it’s on him. You fill, the mug that says “World’s best boss”.

“Gift from your predecessor. Before she… decided she doesn't think I'm that great any more. Obviously”

He winks.

“Alright, Lexi, bring the coffee to my desk I have your new contract for you to sign.”

You nod, take the mug and follow him into his office, where he sits down behind his desk and puts the contract in front of you. He doesn’t tell you do sit down, so you don’t.

“No need to read it, I told HR exactly how I want it and checked it myself. It‘s OK.”

He takes a sip from his mug and looks at you expectantly.
