Searching for the optimum speciman

With the first batch of technology ready; the Altheans were ready to test their infrastructure at processing the humans. Pal, one of the Althean’s leading scientists took the lead in designing and developing the selection, harvesting and onboarding process and equipment for the human males.

His reconnaissance drone launched onto the skies above the continent of Europe and advanced on a small island just off the main continent. Scanning had incidated this island had little in the way of defence capability or technology; and would ensure they would remain undetected; he was sure his drones could evade any human developed surveillance anyway, but why take the chance at this early stage.

The drone ran a scanning algorithm from 32,000 feet, scanning over one hundred square miles; it located a collection of males with the target characteristics gathered on a playing field in the suburbs of a settlement, playing a physicality orientated game chasing a ball. The drone took off in the direction of this gathering to gain further information. It identified 30 specimens meeting the requirements; and began scanning each of them to identify the optimum match for testing the Altheans technology.

Within seconds the drone identified the preferred target; running another algorithm to select the male with the highest muscle mass and largest protein producing glands. In order to test the robustness of the facility, on this occasion it also factored in the males overall physical size, to ensure it selected the male who would present the mechanical facilities with the biggest challenge of overwhelming it. It dispatched another set of drones the size of a houseflies to track the specimen and observe him, as well as several other potential candidates on the playing field; the Altheans would use this surveillance to choose their moment to transport the male to their facility.
