Wally Whitefield was at the lockers at his school one day when he spotted Calvin Moore, his best friend since junior high, walking dispiritedly up to his own locker. Calvin had a haunted look in his downcast eyes and he looked slightly disheveled.

Wally hesitated to call out to Calvin. You see, over the past month, Calvin had earned himself the top spot on Bradley Blackman's shitlist.

Ever since Bradley transferred to Wally's school over a couple of months ago, the black kid quickly established himself as the school's dominant bully. Bradley started picking on the nerdiest guys, constantly demeaning and humiliating them for his own amusement. However, over time, Calvin Moore began to bear most of the brunt of Bradley's bullying.

Bradley would often bully Wally as well. The only difference was, Wally totally welcomed it. No one knew that Wally secretly got off to the humiliation he received from the new black kid. Wally had never felt more alive than when Bradley would order him around and make crude jokes at his expense. People around him however would often see Wally as a victim. Calvin in particular.

Calvin had an intense dislike for Bradley ever since the black kid started upsetting the school order. To be fair, Calvin was the teacher's pet and had a strong sense of responsibility and justice. He took immense pride of the school's culture and atmosphere. If there was an embodiment of the school spirit incarnate, it would be Calvin Moore.

There was a reason Calvin was this way. He came from a family of educators. His grandparents were retired teachers, his mother was the school principal, and several of his aunts were coaches of the girls athletics teams, mainly the cheer, gymnastics, tennis, and volleyball teams. Their school had a strong history in athletics. Calvin's father was even the Superintendent of the handful or so schools in their district.

Ironically, Wally was the main cause of his best friend's misfortune. You see, when Calvin had finally had enough of Wally getting seemingly bullied non stop by Bradley Blackman, he stepped in and stood up to him. It was a big mistake. Bradley floored Calvin with a single blow to his gut and stuffed him into a trash can.

Wally discovered something new about himself that day. Despite the initial horror of watching his best friend of five years getting planted face down in a trash can with his legs sticking up, Wally actually felt more worried for Bradley and the potential trouble the black kid could get into with the school administration.

When Bradley Blackman burst out in laughter watching Calvin's legs flail about wildly, Wally actually giggled as well, though he felt immensely guilty about it later.

When the trash can finally tipped over and Calvin managed to crawl out of it, Bradley stood over him with a smug smile. "You're the principal's kid, ain't ya?" Bradley asked, "Go ahead, run and tell mommy. I'd love to have a sit-down with that fine ass bitch, just the two of us."

Wally was certain back then that Bradley would get expelled. Their school had high standards and there were people expelled before for just skipping out on school one times too many. However, to his surprise, Bradley never got into trouble after that day. It would seem that Calvin did not report Bradley to the school's administration.

That only made Bradley way bolder and he began to pick on Calvin almost exclusively. Hell, even Wally started to feel jealous of all the attention Calvin was receiving from the black kid. Again and again, Bradley would often end his bout of bullying by daring Calvin to report him to his mother, almost like he actually wanted him to do it. Calvin probably picked up on that as well. He continued to keep his mouth shut and his school principal mom out of the loop when it came to his daily torment.

Wally watched as Calvin opened his locker, only to be met by an avalanche of trash spewing forth from the inside. Sighing, Wally shut his own locker door and finally decided to approach Calvin.

"Hey bro, ummm..." Wally said as he walked over.

Calvin glanced up and smiled. "Oh hey, what's up Wally?"

"Y-you doing alright?"

Calvin chuckled and started to pick out the trash in his locker. "Never better."

"Shit man, you gonna tell your mom about Brad or what?"

Calvin glanced at Wally with concern. "Why? He messing with you again?"

"Me? Nah. Dude, he's totally locked in on you now."

Calvin smiled. "It's all good then. Don't worry about me. I can take him."

"Bro, maybe you should say something...."

Calvin chuckled. "Nah. It's no biggie. We're all graduating at the end of the year anyways. Then he'll be out of our lives for good." Calvin placed a hand on Wallace's shoulder and squeezed. "Hang in there buddy," he said.

Wally felt a sob get caught in his throat. What a guy. "I'm so sorry bro. It's my fault you're like this."

"Nah, bro. Don't say that. It's Brad's fault and no one else's," Calvin replied.

"What? What's Brad's fault?" a voice suddenly asked.

Wally and Calvin turned around to find four very attractive girls standing behind them. They were Briana, Corina, Adriana, and Mina.

Given his recent troubles, Wally had forgotten that Calvin was often considered the luckiest guy in school and used to be the envy of all the boys due to the fact that among the hottest girls in senior year, four of them were tirelessly vying for his affections. Given that Calvin was a redhead, Wally often likened his best friend to the character 'Archie Andrews,' from the Archie comics who had a beautiful blonde and brunette girl competing for his affections.

Calvin Moore however had four girls on his case. He had known each of them since middle school and cared for each of them deeply so he never turned any of them down in fear of hurting their feelings. Over time, their relationship had settled into a comfortable dynamic where he would just go on dates with each of them. The four girls were also good friends with each other and treated it as a healthy rivalry, each putting their best foot forwards and pinning for the day Calvin would pick one of them to be exclusive.

Briana Sanderson and Corina Sweeney were cousins. The gorgeous pair both had ash-blonde hair and bright sky-blue eyes, though Corina's hair was a lighter blonde while Briana's eyes was a deeper blue. Adriana Martinez was a strikingly beautiful half-white, half-Latina, with dark brown hair, light honey-toned skin, and green eyes. Finally Mina was an exotically beautiful half-white, half-Korean girl with long deep black hair, milky white skin, and soft brown eyes.

"Hi girls," Calvin greeted as he tried to close his locker door. However there was no hiding the molehill of garbage that had collected at his feet.

"What the fuck?" Adriana asked, "Who did that?"

"Chill, it's nothing. Just a harmless prank." Calvin replied dismissively with a chuckle.

"Are you alright Cal?" Briana asked with concern. "You look really out of it lately..."

"I'm totally fine," Calvin replied, "Just staying up later than usual, that's all."

A locker slammed shut from across the hall. Looking up, Wally spotted Bradley Blackman, stepping away from his locker. He caught the black boy's gaze darting towards the four girls who were fawning over Calvin and lingering over them, as if savoring the sight. For some reason, Wally's chest grew tighter and his heart started racing.

Finally, Bradley exchanged a glance with Wally and flashed him a predatory grin while jerking his head towards class, beckoning him.

"Sorry guys, I gotta head off," Wally mumbled to Calvin and the girls. "See you after school."
