Chancing a glance down, Fuuka saw that the ground wasn't too far beneath her at this point. She could likely hop off and land without any injury, and it would get her into the bushes faster. While there was nobody around at the moment, Fuuka would rather not chance somebody turning the corner of the building and getting an eyeful of her in this state. And so, steeling herself and preparing for the landing, Fuuka carefully released her grip from the drainage pipe and began her short fall. Unfortunately for her, the loose bit of zipper track on her jacket had caught onto one of the pipe's fastening rings. Fuuka heard the sound of popping metal as the zipper failed and felt her arms pull through the sleeves of her jacket. Before she could fully register what had happened, Fuuka was on the ground and her jacket was hanging limply from the drainage pipe several feet above her, out of reach.
Furthermore, her sudden removal from her jacket had caused her bag to slide off of her, falling several feet away from the bushes onto the hard concrete walkway. Fuuka could only hope that the contents of her bag weren't terribly damaged; the last thing she needed to top the day off was having to replace her laptop and her cell phone. That's it! Her cell phone! Fuuka wanted to kick herself for overlooking this obvious choice. She could use her phone to call someone for help, someone to bring her clothes and get her out of this mess!
At least, she might be able to. To get her phone, she'd have to get to her bag, which would mean leaving the relative safety of the bushes. And even if she did venture out to retrieve the bag, the fall may very well have broken her phone and rendered that option completely invalid. Still, the chance of a quick solution that could save her from having to find a way home in her rapidly deteriorating state of dress might be worth it. Really, it was that or continue on and hope she could find a better solution.
