The meeting continues
Sarah gets excited
Sarah’s eyes lit with fresh enthusiasm as she swiped to a new set of concept frames on the screen.
“And that’s only the beginning,” she continued, voice bright with the possibilities. “If these initial pieces perform the way we expect—and from what we’ve already seen of the two of you, we’re confident they will—we’ll look to expand the story further.”
She tapped the tablet again. Soft, lifestyle-style images appeared: a couple at a kitchen table, phones in hand, a shared notepad between them; another of the same pair standing close near a front door with grocery bags; a third showing a delivery being received on a doorstep.
“We’d start at home,” Sarah explained. “Quiet, everyday moments. The two of you planning the supermarket trip together—sitting at the table, making a shopping list, deciding what you need for the week. Natural conversation, small touches, the sense that this is simply how you operate as a couple. Then we’d follow that into the store itself, but the home material would give the campaign a fuller, more lived-in feel.”
Maya’s fingers stayed laced with Mike’s under the table. The residual heat from their interrupted practice still flickered low in her body; every brush of his thumb across her knuckles kept it quietly alive. The idea of filming those private, domestic moments—planning lists together, standing close in a kitchen that was not theirs—sent another complicated pulse through her. The campaign framing still made it feel necessary.
Sarah kept going, clearly energised.
“We’d also create two app-focused stories. One about ordering through the supermarket’s app and then picking the order up in store—showing the convenience, but more importantly showing the two of you side by side through the process. And another about ordering through the app and receiving a full home delivery. The delivery arriving, the two of you bringing the bags inside, putting things away together. Warm, ordinary, connected. The kind of content that makes the brand feel like part of a real relationship rather than just a place to shop.”
David nodded approvingly from his seat.
“Those home and app pieces would let us stretch the campaign across more platforms and more of the customer journey,” Sarah added. “But it all depends on the first wave performing. And right now, the two of you are giving us exactly the authentic, touchy-feely dynamic we need to make that expansion possible.”
She smiled at them both, eyes lingering for a moment on the way Maya remained pressed close against Mike’s side.
“Any thoughts on that side of things? The idea of including some at-home planning and delivery moments if we move forward?”
Mike’s hand gave Maya’s a small, steady squeeze under the table. She felt the quiet flame in her core answer the contact and kept her body angled toward him, the unfinished need and the campaign’s growing scope tangled together in her chest as she prepared to let the practice keep speaking for them.
