Sabrina...she doesn't suspect a thing.

“Oh John, you are still here.”

At Sabrina’s questioning gaze, John laughed weakly and scratched. Of course, he could not just tell her that he was thinking of ways to screw her and was ransacking her smartphone.

“Ahaha, I was just a little worried. Is your hand fine now?”

He just made a believable excuse, that Sabrina would not find odd, or at least too odd. His acting skills also helped in that regard.

The expression on Sabrina’s face promptly relaxed, and a small smile replaced it.

“Thanks for worrying, John. I am fine now, there is still a bit of pain, but it is not much. Thankfully it looks like there is no scar either.”

“That’s good then. I will be on my way now.”

John nodded and turned to leave. When he was about to pass through the door, he saw Sabrina pick up her purse through the corner of his eye and then heaved a sigh of relief.

‘It does not look like she noticed anything.’

With that, he left the room and headed back to his cubicle. At that time, a random thought appeared in his mind.

‘This was probably the most I have spoken with my crush, and all the while I was thinking of ways to screw her.’

He lampooned inwardly, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. It was not that he was too embarrassed to talk to her or anything, but there were just no opportunities that arose.

That was one of the reasons why he jumped on the first opportunity that presented itself, no matter how **** it was, pun intended.

Shaking his head, he opened the door to his cubicle and stepped inside.

The red carpet, the chair, and the desk appeared in his vision. The stacks of documents that was piled on top of the desk were also reflected in his eyes. A sigh escaped his throat, for different reasons than before now.

“I already wasted too much time, time to work.”

After a long and gruesome day at work, John took a deep breath in relief as his feet touched the entrance to his apartment, inhaling the air that relaxed him despite being no different than anywhere else.

As the cold water splashed against his face, he finally felt fresh enough to consider other matters — such as his loudly growling stomach.

“It is already about dinner time.”

Deciding to make something simple for today – John believed his cooking skills to be pretty good, if not the best – he headed to the kitchen.

After seeing the almost empty state of the fridge, he determined, muttering to himself, “I’m running out of groceries…I should hit the market soon…At least there’s enough for today and tomorrow.”

The fire bellowed and the oil sizzled, and soon enough, John walked towards the living room with a plate of pasta in tow and a cold drink in his hand.

He turned on the television, putting on a Netflix show that he had been watching but couldn’t complete, and leisurely ate dinner in the silence amid the noise coming from the television.

“Ha, that was good.”

He was referring to both the show and the food.

Putting down the plate on the table, he rubbed his stomach lightly and drank the rest of the cola in one go.

With his stomach fully satisfied now…

“Now then…”

…It was time to initiate the ‘plan’!
