Day 40

GreaterCrissy's phone buzzed, it was another message from GreaterAshley, "Julie ran, but we got Becky. Will convert Becky and priority target."

"Damn," thought GreaterCrissy. It texted back, "Very well, inform me when you are leaving for the priority target."

GreaterCrissy drove to Jake's house. Both Jake's car and his father's car were in the driveway. It wasn't worth making a scene just to get Julie at this point, better to wait until the nest was stronger.

GreaterCrissy was parked across the street from Jake's house when it decided to make a call to a friend. "Hey there Cheryl, what's up? Looks like my mom and sister are gonna be gone for the night, leaving me all alone. Wanna come over and watch Netflix and chill?"

The afternoon had been going even better than Cheryl could have hoped. After Crissy had initially started kissing Cheryl things escalated quickly. "I want you to assist GreaterAshley and GreaterSusan tonight, I don't know if they are up to breaking and entering." Cheryl watched Crissy calmly say. "But it's a good thing you're here, I could use a hand, and a tongue." Crissy laughed letting the cop see into the house where Cheryl's sweating nude body lay on the couch.

"A pleasure to protect and serve ma'am," said the officer as she entered the house and began to remove her uniform.

It was early morning in the regional hospital parking lot, the sun was just beginning to light the new day. GreaterCrissy sat in the car talking with GreaterBarbara.

"Julie slipped away again," GreaterCrissy said. "But we got one of her close friends, the net is closing on her."

"Becky?" said GreaterBarbara.

"Yes that's the one, "answered GreaterCrissy. "How is work on sustaining spawn outside the body going?"

"It's only been 12 hours, what do you expect? We will examine a few more ideas tomorrow but after that, we will find a host for it. We are too few to waste time on that just yet." GreaterBarbara said snappily.

"Fine, fine, that is fair. The sooner we figure these things out the most flexible we will become and that may be useful sooner rather than later." Said GreaterCrissy.

"Has that 'genius' GreaterAshley figured anything out?" Asked GreaterBarbara scornfully.

"The new spawn are 25 percent larger than the previous generation. GreaterAshley feels that that may be useful in recruiting and will make the transfer a little easier," replied GreaterCrissy.

"That doesn't help with the male issues," said GreaterBarbara trying to strike down any of GreaterAshley's success.

"No, it doesn't. But we are working on that also," said GreaterCrissy as it watched the sun crest the trees in the distance.
