SAT Prep

"Doughnuts, anyone?" Xander asked as he popped in on us.

I smiled as he set the box down. It was good to have some sugar. Staying up and studying for the SATs was hard.

As was happening a lot recently, Cordelia was surprising me. Not just by hanging out with us, but by actually being...helpful. Between her relationship with Xander, and our experience at Homecoming, we've been getting along a lot better.

She glared at her boyfriend, "Are you going to study, or not?"

"Hey, doughnuts are important for the group," Xander said as he sat down. "I would never try and avoid studying."

"Uh huh," we bother murmured in disbelief at the same time.

"Though the two of you could use a break," Xander said as he pulled the crystal out. "How about a little hypnosis session. Relax you and get the brains refocused."

I felt myself nodding my head as soon as he suggested it, but I saw the problem, "Willow needs to be the one to write the commands...I mean suggestions."

Yes, no matter how much I wanted it, there was a procedure. Willow wrote what would help us focused, two girls to a session, Xander did the hypnosis. No one else, no other circumstance.

"Well, she did give me a few options earlier," Xander said as he laid out a few pieces of paper.

"Yeah, you weren't even planning to study were you," Cordelia said.

Xander smiled, "I'm just looking out for my friends."

Cordelia and I shared a look. I really doubted the hypnosis would actually give us a break, but Xander wanted it. It would feel good to help a friend.

"Fine," we said at the same time. We were really gelling as a unit.

"Great! Let's work on expanding your minds...for the SAT of course ," Xander joked as he laid out the options.
