Laylah's dress is unraveling again. What does David do?
Rush to the coin machine and cut the thread
David, now in full panic mode, dropped his light gun and rushed to the coin machine.
"Where you going?" Shyann said, picking up his gun and firing both at the screen now. "Dropped my keys by the token machine! David said in a hasty lie. He stumbled to a stop in front of the coin machine, pulling up his pants a bit as they had sunken again from the weight of the tokens in his pockets and quickly ripped the string from the token machines's receptacle. The freed thread began moving away from David. That meant that there was still some of the dress left, enough to drag the string as Laylah walked. David watched as it made its way about four feet in the direction of the table before stopping.
He looked at the table and Laylah was already seated, the chair's back obscuring his view of the severity of the dress's unraveling. Ross was sitting down and he didn't seem any more nervous than he had been, so either Laylah's dress hadn't unraveled as badly as David feared, or less encouraging but more likely, Ross just didn't notice Laylah's situation as he got to his seat.
David looked over to Shyann who looked at him, then back to the table, a hot pizza stood in its center with on one of those little raised platter things.
"Oh shit, pizza's here! C'mon David, let's get some before Ross eats it all." She joked and began running to the table.
David went pale. At the rate Shyann was running, he'd never catch up to her in time to do.... something!? For all David knew, Laylah was sitting there eating pizza in just her bra, wait, no, scratch that, she forgot her bra today, remember?! Shyann was going to turn to sit down, see Laylah sitting there completely naked and storm off into the night never talking to David again!!!
Shyann turned to David one last time before sitting down, she gave him a smile that melted his heart. Goodbye sweet Shyann, oh what could have been...
