Runs to the pond.

Jake was so nervous that the bear might chase after him. So he ran as fast as he could, not looking back at all, as he sprinted away. Jake knew that bears around these parts could be really aggressive towards people. Jake ran for about a mile or so, until he saw the cut off trail that lead to the pond. Jake knew that a lot of people hung out at the pond during the summer.

Jake thought going to the pond was his safest choice. So he turned down the cut of trail and kept running as fast as he could. The trail to the pond was only about half a mile and it was down hill all the way. Jake kept running as fast as he could, knowing it wouldn't take him long to reach the pond. he was definitely hoping someone would be at the pond, in case the bear was still chasing him.

The trail Jake was running down, came out right next to the beach at the pond and the little playground next to it. As Jake came out of the woods, he didn't see anyone at first.
