Ruby (with Weiss as collateral damage)

As much as you were willing to wait until the morning to see the results, you really wanted to see as soon as possible. Considering the timing and who was awake, that meant that your only real option was Ruby.

But you couldn't just write on her! You had to come up with a plan to justify doing so and wouldn't raise suspicion if it didn't work.

"Let's go prank Weiss," you whisper to a mischievously grinning Ruby.

"Yeah, vengeance for grumpiness..." she whispered back in a mock cheer with a raised fist.

As you two slowly made your way towards Weiss, you solidified the plan in your mind: After Ruby had her fun and you doodled your name on Weiss, you'd bring up the idea of doodling on each other to throw suspicion off of the two of you. Ruby would let you write your name on her and you'd see how powerful that marker was.

Once you two were close enough to speak without waking her, you turned towards Ruby. "It was your idea. Why don't you go first?"

With but a nod, she got to work drawing a silly mustache on the sleeping heiress. As you watched her, you thought more about your plan. It wasn't like it was a lie. If it turns out you can't own people, then it is a good idea to cover your tracks and make sure you can't be caught via being victims as well.

You're shocked out of thought when someone pats you on the shoulder. Ruby flashes you a cheeky smile and says "Your turn" before continuing to walk past you.

You approached Weiss' sleeping body and took out the marker as you considered where you'd write your name. If it needed to be seen, then you should do it somewhere highly visible.

Just then, Weiss stirred in her sleep. As she did so, her right hand shifted out and was in the open. Jackpot!

You waited a little bit more time just to make sure she wouldn't wake up, and then quickly, yet gently, wrote on the back of her hand.

'Jaune Arc'

Satisfied with your penmanship, you backed away from Weiss and planned to approach Ruby for the real test.

Unfortunately, when you turned around to look for Ruby, you saw that she had already headed back to her bag and at least seemed to be asleep. You guessed that pulling a prank and having fun with a friend helped with her nervousness.

Nevertheless, you still needed to secure that alibi, even if it no longer helped with your marker testing. You approached Ruby's 'bed' and lightly shook her. "Ruby? You still awake?"

She opened one eye that still seemed slightly sleepy. "Yeah, why?"

"I figured it'd be a good idea to doodle on each other as well. That way, when Weiss wakes up and gets mad, we can say that we had nothing to do with it."

She smiled at the idea. "Nice. Let's do it." She got back up and quickly got to work drawing a simple flower on your forehead.

Once she was done, however, she got right back to bed, leaving an outstretched arm out for you.

"I trust you not to do anything too terrible to me," she said as she closed her eyes again and went back to sleep.

Guess you really aren't going to get answers tonight. Oh well, it was worth a shot. You quickly wrote your name on Ruby's hand and returned to your area as well, certain that you'll see results in the morning.

Your next day begins as you felt someone trying to wake you up from your slumber.
