Round 3 Begins

Just before 8 there was a knock at the door. Florence got up to get it, but then nervously looked over at Daniel. He nodded and went to answer it.

Daniel swung the door open and saw Brittany standing there. She smiled sheepishly, "Um. Hi. You're back to normal."

"Yep. Awkward for a while, but good to be back. Please, come in."

Brittany nodded and followed him inside. She hesitated for a moment, then looked him in the eyes, "I'm sorry. About yesterday. It was...it IS hard to believe. I'm sorry I made you go so far to convince me."

Daniel smiled, "I understand. I'm just glad you made it in time. I wasn't looking forward to finding out what the game would do. Come in, I'll introduce you."

Brittany nodded and followed him into the living room.

Daniel started the introductions, "This is Florence. She owns this house. Well, just inherited it. She's doing a Masters in library science."

"Hi." Florence said quietly.

"You already seem to know Evelyn, so I'll skip her. This is Mateo. He came here all the way from Vancouver. He's also a student in Engineering."

"Yo!" Mateo squeaked.

"This is Noah. He's a teacher."

"Nice to meet you." Noah said.

Brittany nodded at all of them, and looked at Daniel, "And what do you do Daniel?"

"Me?" Daniel smiled, "Oh I don't have a job. Except being the GM for our Rune games of course."

Brittany's smile faltered, but she quickly recovered, "Oh...how...fun."

"Let's get Brittany to sit between me and Noah, she can go last. That way she gets an idea of how it works." Mateo said, "But I should roll. I don't want to miss our deadline."

"Ya, go ahead." Daniel directed Brittany to a seat and then sat down himself.

Mateo rolled, landing on a rule, "It says Divorced People or Married People. Wow, for once none of us are in either group."

Daniel bit his lip, "Actually..."

"What? Dude..." Mateo started at him.

"I'm divorced." Daniel said seriously.

"But you're...you're...how?" Mateo said.

"I'd rather not talk about it. Just...fuck. There are probably a lot more married couples out there?"

"No dude, I'm not going to target you intentionally. I pick married people..." Mateo stared down at the card, "Married people get a hall pass, one person they can have sex with which is not considered cheating."

Daniel nodded, "You know that blondes don't lie right?"

"That was a rule made by this game. We were playing so we don't remember it as always existing, but for everyone else, that's just how things are. Brittany pulled out her phone and did a search for hall pass. She was shocked. It was everyone, just an accepted idea. Had reality rewritten itself so...no...she did NOT want to think about her own parents doing that. She put her phone away, "This is horrifying."

"Yep. You got that right," Mateo said. He passed the die on, "Here Evelyn."

Daniel hesitated, then nodded. He got up and leaned forward, planting a quick peck on her lips. He sat back down, "Can I...yes. I can talk to you now. I wonder what 'recent' is."

"Let's just see how long you can talk to Brittany for. It's 8:15 now, so just keep watch on the time." Noah suggested.

Daniel nodded, "Yes. Good idea," He picked up the die and rolled it, "Same as Evelyn. A question. Would you rather only be able to become less aroused by orgasming or only be able to orgasm with verbal permission? Noah just shrugged, "Your guess is as good as mine. Here, your turn. Just roll it." Noah handed the die to Brittany.

Brittany took a deep breath, then tossed it. She recognized the symbol, "That's the question one....right?"

Noah nodded and Brittany picked up the card.
