Road to Vegas

On the dusty road out of the town of a group of merchants and their Brahmin marched their way to Novac. They had traveled down this road a hundred times, and they would continue to hundred more. Yet still, the wayward traders were just as relieved to see they were almost in town as when they were rookies. The wastes were dangerous raiders, monsters, and just plain exhaustion were always threats in these parts, so resting in a nice quiet town was always a treat. They had no idea what had happened that morning. That a gang of thugs and shot up the town looking for Rose of Sharon Cassidy. Three of them had been gunned down, and the last had been arrested, yet their were still a few unsavory types still hanging around. And of course, they didn't know that the titular Sharon Cassidy was right next to them hiding behind a rock in nothing but Cowboy Boots and a smile.

"Fuck," She cursed sticking her head put from behind the large boulder as she watched the caravan pass by. She considered calling out to them. Begging them for a pair of pants and an escort back to town. Unfortunately like her, they were caravaneers and if Cassidy knew one thing about her own kind it was they loved to talk. If she asked them for help then by the end of the week every thinking being west of the Mississippi would know Rose of Sharon Cassidy had been run out of Novac stark naked. Cass gritted her teeth and watched the caravan walk by ignorant of her presence.

"Alright Cass, think." She told herself as she slowly walked back onto the highway while cupping her breasts. "It's not safe back in town and if I stay here, I'll just run into more caravans I rather not see me so that leaves." Cass slowly turned around towards the open road. She had walked the I-515 hundreds of times before today. It passed by various prewar ruins, The 188-trading post and Boulder City until it eventually led to the gates of New Vegas. There were plenty of places she could scavenger or barter for clothing, but it was still several miles of road. Could she really march through the Mojave butt naked in broad daylight?

Her thoughts were interrupted when a gunshot echoed across the wasteland from Novac. Looked like there still were some mercs still causing trouble in town.

"Well that answers that." Cass said pulling off her hat and using it cover her bare crotch while her other hand attented to her chest. "Time to get walking."
