You Don't Have to be Good to Enjoy Games

Rivals are a Video Game Staple

Jenny weaved her way through the rows of video games rushing her way towards the bathroom. Passing through an aisle of 360 games she was halted in her journey as the way was blocked by the very girl she was hoping to avoid. Daisy Cook, the owners daughter. A nice girl to be sure but she's a bit **** for me.

“Jenny, there you are. I've been looking all over for you.” Daisy said. “I was hoping to continue our discussion from last week.”

Yeah, right. Not if I can help it. Putting on a fake smile Jenny stepped to the side as she attempted to pass Daisy. “As much as I would love that I'm kinda in a bit of a rush. Maybe next time.” Or better yet never.

However as she made to go around Daisy the girl stepped to the side to once again block Jenny's path. “Last week I asked you a question. Have you thought any more on that?” Daisy asked with a friendly smile on her face.

Attempting to sidestep the girl once more Daisy only continued to block her way. Practically growling at this point Jenny glared straight into the girls eyes. “No I haven't because there is nothing to think about. Like I told you last week and like I've told everyone else I have absolutely no romantic feelings for Bruce.”

“Are you su...” Daisy began but was cut off by a shout from behind her. “Daisy! What have I said about harassing the customers?” Daisy turned around to see her sister standing behind her.

Now's my chance. Jenny took this opportunity to slip past the two girls. Thank you Alex. Reaching the bathroom she threw open the door. Finally sweet relief. Stepping in though she found herself instead stepping off the side of a stage and falling into a heap on the ground.

“Finally you're here.” Jenny heard from above where she lay. “Stop playing around down there. We're behind schedule thanks to you.”

Looking up to yell at whoever was mocking her she found herself staring not at a person but instead a mirror. Not one to be quiet under even normal circumstances Jenny had no problem making her confusion known to everyone. “WHY DO I LOOK LIKE RISKY BOOTS?”

“All questions will be dealt with at the end of the intros” Sally said. “Speaking of which.”

“My name is Jenny Williams and I'm 20 years old. I got fired recently after yelling at an unreasonable customer and Bruce is my mortal enemy I must defeat. I play almost all types of games but focus on anything that I hear Bruce is currently playing.”

“Done? Good. Go take a seat.” Sally rushed.

She does have a good question though Bruce thought. Why Risky? She already used Shantae so why double up? Looking over at Sally he catches sight of screen of her Switch and notices its on the pause screen for the last Shantae game. That explains it. Recency bias.

“Next please.”

I Like the Shantae Games. Don't Judge Me
