Rio Iwasaki

Rio Iwasaki is an athletic, friendly girl about the same age as Minako Arisato. She has a pretty face with black eyes to match her hair (which she wears short in the front and wrapped up in a long ponytail in the back). In class Rio wears a black skirt with a yellow short sleeved sweater with a white undershirt typical of the school uniform. She is the lead team member of either the tennis or volleyball club (feel free to establish one or the other as her adventure continues) and takes the job very seriously. This tends to grate on her teammates, who are far more lax about competitions and training. She also has a crush on Kenji Tomochika, a childhood friend who is doomed to disappoint her thanks to his taste in 'mature' women like his teachers. She also has a strong friendship with Yuko Nishwaki, often pushing the less serious team manager to be more responsible in exchange for being reigned in by Yuko when her overly intense drive to train goes too far.
