Revelation

"Victoria, who is your crush?" I asked. She hadn't mentioned anything about having a crush to me.

"You." she said sleepily.

"What?!" I was taken aback.

"Yes," Victoria mumbled. "I've had a huge crush on you since high school. I always thought our relationship was platonic and that you didn't like me back."

That wasn't true. I had always had a crush on Victoria as well.

"Okay. I'm going to wake you up and you will confess your feelings to me. Properly."

I snapped to wake her. She smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"So," Victoria said. "Remember that guy I told you I like?"

"Yeah," I said.

"Well, it's you. It's always been you. John, I love you. I love you so much. Please say you like me back."

I kissed her on the lips, which shocked her, but she did return it after a while. Eventually we just started a passionate session of making out on our kitchen counter.

"Does that answer your question?" I asked when we separated to take a breath.

"Yeah," she said. "I love you."
